PA-PLAYA
I had the G's and the only difference is the G400's are softer feeling. BTW, I have the G15's and even though the G400's are stronger lofted (and I have the power spec) I find the extra distance negligible.
As a matter of fact my PW and AW in the G15's are longer than the G400's PW and AW (as was the case with the G's PW and AW). No explanation, but that is the case even with the stronger lofts for my swing anyway.
I need not remind people of my philosophy and that is my car analogy. Getting a new car will not make you a better driver, both the old and the new car will get you from point A to point B. I driver a 19 year old car. 😲
As for Steve's point and shoot experience. From my experience that can be said of any iron when your swing is on. I shot two 74's in my first few rounds with the G400's. Shot an 89 yesterday with them. Not so much point and shoot yesterday. 😎
Also my best round at my home course over 10 years playing there is a par 71. Done with the Ping G15's. Go figure.......... 🙃
Club ho's (and I am one) it seems are in a constant dog chasing it's own tail syndrome. A very expensive pursuit that seems very unnecessary. We seem to be chasing a satisfied feeling than actual results. Problem is we get unsatisfied much too fast.
