sdandrea1 SWMBO (Mrs. Moneybags), bought a new XXIO driver, 3w, 5w this morning. She demoed them yesterday and picked up significant yards, and launch angle. Still not sure I can pull that trigger. I have the $ saved up, but..........

Eguller Be nice and she just might let you play out of her bag. Just tryinβ to save you some Ho $$$.
sdandrea1 Eguller Be nice and she just might let you play out of her bag. Just tryinβ to save you some Ho $$$. I'm almost always nice to her. It makes life much more pleasant. π You KNOW I'll be borrowing that driver occasionally!
sdandrea1 I just played another 6 hole demo. The Prime driver is longer than long for me. I'm getting distance I haven't seen in 20 years. Fountain of Youth! The 5w is a monster too.
Eguller sdandrea1 How much for the Fountain of Youth ? Oh...are you rockin' the Eleven irons to the same degree also ?
sdandrea1 Eguller The damn driver is $849. π€― Yes, the Eleven irons are a club longer, easy to launch. Tons of offset and a nice sole grind.
mulegolf sdandrea1 The damn driver is $849. π€― Just noticed that Carl's Golfland.com has them for $649. Is that low enough for you? That would be the 11. The X is $699 and the 10 is down to $449. Yup, the Prime is $849.
sdandrea1 Eguller I jumped on an individual (eleven) 7i on EBay for $51 and an Eleven 5h (new) for half price. I'm fucked, yes. Considering getting the 8, 9, W and a 5w. The driver will have to wait until birthday(which falls near Father's Day).
sdandrea1 I'd like to see how far a ball would go with a stiffer XXIO version in the hands of @Typhoon or @DC300
Eguller sdandrea1 I have a friend who was talked into a full set of XXIO and is having trouble adjusting to them. Not that he is 6'2", 245lb and strong as a bull has anything to do with it...really ? It is no wonder he can't play them as well as he thought. Featherlite clubs probably brought Ray Floyds career to a close quicker than it should have. But....for those who they were designed for, they are the WORD.
sdandrea1 I was checking prices of other brands and see that the XXIO iron prices @$199 each are not that far out of line. PING G710 in graphite is $175. Titleist irons in graphite are almost $200. The XXIO drivers and fairways are where they go nuts.

KCee sdandrea1 But Steve can you put a price on more distance? $12/inch maybe? Seriously though you should be able to build an XXIO type wood right? If you can make the longer & lighter stuff work you must clearly have the tempo.
Spuzz KCee If you can make the longer & lighter stuff work you must clearly have the tempo. sdandrea1 Steveo should try an old DTG 190 or 175 with a 40g-ish shaft and lightweight Winn grip or ladies grip (not blue) and give it a whirl. Rickochet has a couple in his stash (not willing to part with) but he may be able to provide more info on them π or maybe a Traverse driver (clubmaker on line sold these) http://www.clubmaker-online.com/seniorclubhead.html
Rickochet Spuzz Rickochet has a couple in his stash (not willing to part with) but he may be able to provide more info on them I have 3 12Β° (one offset) and could probably part with one to Steve. I recently saw that Integra still has a 175 and Monark Golf shows an Integra 168. I hit one of my 175's last summer and it still is as long and accurate as anything else. It didn't keep me from getting a Ping 410 though. π
Typhoon Spuzz Rickochet could probably part with one to Steve Enabler! Or at least sign one out on βloan β.
