Not around here.
The concept is good with supposedly just to groove one swing.

No one around here asking questions about it, but I did notice many of the OEM are exploring into this design and hoping it'll be the next "adjustable hosel " for golf equipment innovation.

Honestly, I believe in the future the works on the intangibles ( between the ears ) will be much more important than the tangible goods ( equipment ).

Not so fast there,I've been working on this concept for a while now!
Frankensteined some old Infinity 422 heads, but it's a PITA to lighten the 9 thru (s) wedges.
Using some Kuro Kage shafts also instead of steel at 8i lengths.
Just found some old Maltby KE 4's on Ebay which should make the weighting much more
easier to accomplish, without having to sabotage the looks of the heads.

Having all the irons playing the same weight and length makes sense to me in the fact you only need
to play the ball in one position and use the same swing for all.
It's really not a new concept/theory,been around for a long time,Bryson just gave it new life! 😉

With his woods at more "Traditional" length, he still has to use a varied swing.

I suppose single length has it's merit's, but it's still not all it seems to be IMO...

As with anything in golf, it's what the golfer is most comfortable with. If single length helps someone play better, then more power to them.

    Exactly !

After acquiring the basic tools to play this game, it'll be the practice to use the tools and what's between the ears.

When I started to play golf, so many told me to skip the long irons because no one could hit it well, only my first instructor told me to practice on them. I love the long irons back then. It saved my game for those long par 4 and short par 5, when I could reach the same distance with a 3 iron than others 3 wood, it was easy.

When physical ability is not an issue ( aging, illness.... ) one should try to take the game to the limit and beyond, Don't let anyone tells you otherwise.

At the higher level, what's between the ears will be the only thing that counts. A winner or loser is often separated by a single stroke .

candukid Back on the Mothership (FGI) years ago there was a lot of discussion about single length in the equipment and clubmaking sections.
darpar: Frankensteining 422's is just plain wrong. You should have sent them to me. 🙂

as S says, hardly a new idea .
way back when Bobby Jones had 3 irons at one length and 2 at another and two of his woods at another same length.

Bryson is however of the modern era and getting lots of air time and press so the awareness of the concept is increasing.

up here on the local golf forum there are a few open minded individuals and builders who recognize that its another option in the fitting repertoire. Unfortunately, some are less accepting with their insular views and can only trash and criticize anything that isn't branded with a Big name and played , and successfully by numerous pros. Even Tom W got involved with one individuals ignorant ramblings and accusations that Tom was just a shill for his SL irons. of course Tom quickly put him in his place with his reply.

Single length clubs have been around a long time. I have been wanting a set of SL irons for 10+ years 🙂 Thankfully going to finally do it this year when my Wishon SL heads arrive in the new 3-6 weeks.

I am very high on this idea and I personally think Value Golf's single length iron, the Pinhawk, was the one that kept the fire burning. It has been their flagship for at least 18 months to 2 years...if not longer. So, they were the ones that should get a lot of credit for believing in this theory. No matter whatever spin on this new/old idea Value Golf has spawned THEY deserve mucho credit.

I am very pleased they are selling their iron very very well!

Congrats to Aaron and Dave. Good job!

    Steve at Bang

Thanks Steve! Many don't recognize that, but it's nice to be noticed in that way.

No disrespect to ValueGolf but I believe 1iron golf is the company that kept this idea "alive". They have been offering SL clubs for a long time.

Old foundry design, not available in component form, expensive. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

The real leaders were TA, but the world wasn't ready for it yet.

        ValueGolf

Just looked at their site...very old standard foundry design. No disrespect per se...but, you have to fan the flames....Value Golf did...they didn't. Aaron that $900.00 for 8 irons...is that steel or graphite shafts?

I'm not saying 1iron golf is better or their clubs are original designs. I'm aware of the TA clubs from way back as well. IMO it is great more companies are offering designs 🙂

I understand PD! They are pushing David Lake as a big name designer.......So why didn't he come up with something a bit fresher? Quite frankly, PD, I was not aware of them until you mentioned them. Since they have been around for 17 years I must assume they are selling product....good for them.

Just looked-up Tommy Armour EQL irons, I learn something new every time I login.
