meagain
Not sure you read my post. I don't watch Faux News Channel. But again, when you sign up to be a cop you know the potential danger of the job. A police officer assigned to a school since Columbine knows the inherent risks associated with that job.
You've been trained to not hunker down and wait for backup, but to not hesitate and run into the danger. You've been trained to confront the shooter and if not take him out, at least distract him away from his targets (innocent kids) to you.
This was a monumental failure by people who knew the risks and decided to not do their job. They put their own safety ahead of the victims. Unarmed teachers rushed in to protect their students and sacrifice their own lives in the process. Armed officers assigned to that school rushed to the scene only to take up defensive positions.
Nobody forced you to become a cop. You chose that profession. You knew the risks. Now you have to live with yourself for your inaction.
