LBlack14 I’d say that’s about right for the advanced amateur ( 5-15 handicap). 6000 is a good challenge and not boring, I see that as a slight stretch for the guy who can’t get 200 yards off the tee, but 220-250 it’s going to be a good round. I think the white should be located around that, blues add 20 yards on average, so there’s ~6400, the tips should push 7000 (I say more in today’s game, maybe 7600) in an ideal layout and then have some senior tees at 5200, ladies at 4800.
Now the courses I usually play, you get 3 sets of tees so the gaps get worse, but played appropriately, most go white, seniors go red, I drag my ass to blue so the intended landing area is easier to hit. It’s all good.
