I started playing at 65, from members tees back then. An occasional good drive might get me 240 and change with my old Cobra LD, 10.5 degree. After 7 years, and some issues, fractured lower spine/pelvis, etc. I'm fine with 200 plus change from my G15, 12 degree. I miss the members tees which allow play of significant features of courses. I feel a bit short changed missing those, but have to be rational , that I can no longer meet the distance they require. If a course is empty , I may treat myself to some extended play from further back, just not keep score as there will "several " extra strokes and time required.
A drive that gets me my 200 in the fairway and a decent 4 wood to chipping distance , with a following 2 putt, is still very much enjoyable duffing and I am immensely grateful for that opportunity . When that too fades, I'll adjust again , and enjoy that too.
