Re 200=5600 likely spot on for the 28 x 200 rule
Re 250=7000, ridiculous to even suggest it, and most any course with a tee back that far is also going to have a higher slope = death for an avg cap player. I would say ~6400 would be ok, but 6200~6400 would be a good start.....super easy layout or a low single digit hcp then push it back. The 28x would have 1400 yards difference between a 200y driver vs. a 250y driver. That's 78y a hole, likely quite a bit less on par 3,s, further lengthening that number on par 4's and par 5's. 7k for a 250y driver is borderline unplayable. I've done it once and although fun in some ways that was a matter of perspective. One fwy I could not get to and needed to smash driver just to clear the junk, several par 4's we're either 3w or lowest lofted hybrid to get to in reg or just not reachable at all in reg, mostly due to uphill and/or into wind. The par 3's were just brutal. This was back when I was hitting it 240-250. I very much enjoyed it, played well, and was pretty consistent off the tee back then. But it would get old quick. Does that sound like fun to you?
Re: Jack, just not a fan of his views on the game, course layout, and especially the ball.
