ode ....for the cost of shipping? DTG fucked my order up and as a thank you I get to keep the wrong item they sent, a Super Concord 13 wood, gee thanks DTG🖕 It is new in plastic, and yes you read right a 13 wood, 34* of loft-
ptjn1201 Someone might want it as a chipper. I have a 42 degree Jackaroo II somewhere that I tried out. It wasn't bad on one par 3 I used to play frequently, good for about 135 yards straight up in the air. As a chipper, just couldn't get used to it.
ode When I had a case if the lateral rights, I played a 7, 9, 11 wood, they worked out great. The old XPC Seven series, nice line of woods!
Rickochet That is actually a nice solid head. I have the 3,5,7,9,11 & 13. The 11 and 13 are good alternatives to hybrid irons.
mulegolf My league playing partner still uses a 7, 9 & 11 wood (Callaway Hawkeye I believe). He can't seem to hit hybrids but he hits the crap out of those high loft fairway woods.
LBlack14 Had a great friend who played all woods. Not 1 "iron" in his bag. He died on me super bowl Sunday 2008. I miss Chu.
fatshot scotts33 Wow....pretty nice looking heads! I had never seen any pix of those except the stock photos on Hireko's website. My only question would be about the rails on the bottom. They look pretty substantial, and I wonder if they don't hit the ball WAY up in the air.....also, how do they play out of tight fairway lies?? I'd be interested to hear your impression, since you obviously have played them.
Rickochet scotts33 I used an 11 wood and a 15 wood last year in one of my Minimalist bag set ups. I just noticed a Synchron II 9.5 ° fairway driver head in my parts bin. 😁
raggmann54 The only irons I have carried for the last 15 years or so have been 2 wedges. Have used all woods or hybrids in that time. Loved the Golfsmith wood heads when they were out; have used the Bang golf SFS series among others. Not a great fan of the low profile design for the higher lofted wood heads...
scotts33 fatshot IMO the rails on the sole do not add any height in trajectory to any shot. Both Synchron II and Super Concorde use .335 hosels so for that fact alone with will launch higher than .370 a factor that Wishon always has used in their hybrids .335. The rails might help in lies in the rough. Other than that they play fine for me and I custom built them slightly longer in playing length than the iron that they would replace in loft as they have quite upright lies.. I have also built some Super Concordes in the past and they play much the same as the Synchron II head. Looks to me like the Synchron II head is going away. I will be testing the new 2018 Swing Science FC-One Plus frwy 20 deg. and the SS FC-One Plus 24 deg. hybrid this spring. For fairways the SS FC-One A (adjustable) frwy for me last year was the best club I built and used for myself and clients.
kelco9 scotts33 I, for one, will be very interested in hearing how your experiment with the SS FC-One plus goes. As I have posted in several places, I never hear much about SS, but I really intrigued by their product line and the FC-One Plus line in particular for my clientele. I'd like to know more about all the clubs in the model and how they perform.
sdandrea1 ode I'll likely put a shaft in and either give to the old man or drop at Goodwill. Ill take it Chad. Got someone who can use it. How much you need to ship to 34442?
