clueless would have been a better word or maybe hopeless or even useless

Chuck

At this point in his career, does it really matter?

I mean, who would truly want to hitch their wagon to a guy who's had 3 major back surgeries and hasn't played but maybe 3 complete rounds over the last 2-3 seasons?

There's nothing there to gain, and everything to lose imo.

Tiger will either figure it out on his own or won't. Hell - half the time he was with Hank Haney - Haney admits that Tiger was basically operating on his own and disregarded most of his instruction. (Read Hank's book if you don't believe me).

This really isn't news, but more of the same.

Tiger had one great coach (Harmon) who elevated his game to a competitive level on the pro tour. Since then - Tiger has basically been on his own.

This is news, lol. Did Jack have a coach? Serious question....what about any of the greats, going back to pre TW era....

Bubba has no coach. I don't think any coach since Haney has done anything positive for Tiger.

Their wagon can haul a lot of cash whether Tiger has a come back or not.

Rickochet good for bubba, he needs a rubber band around his wrist to snap himself when he's about to have a spaz attack.

Hank was paid peanuts, even during Tiger's prime. And what did he gain from his Tiger celebrity? Charles Barkley's schizophrenic swing and teaching Ray Romano how to break 100, on Golf Channel instructional reality shows.

          What a payout.

That wagon stays in the desert for any instructor worth the ink on his card imo.

ode Did Jack have a coach?

            Definitely.
Jack Grout. Only coach Jack ever had; from around 1950 on.

ode Jim Flick, after Grout passed away, when he went on the Senior Tour.

So I guess 'only' is a bit overused. And even old Pros need help at times.😉

PA-PLAYA Nike paid hank peanuts? Wasn't that in Tiger's wagon that hank was hitched to?

How does Nike pay Hank for being Tiger's swing consultant?

I could be wrong... have been before and could be again.. but was always under the impression that in most all of those instances - the touring pro paid his swing guru independently.

Are we to assume that just because Sean Foley is Justin Rose's instructor, that TaylorMade is somehow obligated to ante up and pay some sort of endorsement to Foley?

I feel fairly safe in assuming that that's not how it works.

ode He would only go to Grout at the beginning of a season. Just 1 lesson, then if he needed a 'tweak' during the season, he'd give him a call. Grout said Jack would listen, then do. I think it worked.☺

I may be wrong, but his endorsement deal came along side him being with Tiger.

Tiger live about 1.5 miles from me (distance not neighborhoods). I might swing by and see if he needs a hand. Actually, if you slow down by his gate, his Nazi SS security guards spring into action.

Tiger should look to Mike Malaska. Mike teaches a saying that is really easy on the body and especially the back.
