The giveaway should've been the yellow dot. There is no more yellow dot. Ping's gone to whole numbers for their color chart. Blue is 1 degree up, green is 2 up etc..

Thinking about picking up a set of G15's. I have always liked the no ferrule look on the Pings. Been reading up on the past G series irons and it looks like G15 has a lot of good feedback.

G10 will serve you just as well, can't go wrong with either. 😉

sdandrea1 I actually like the look of the G10 better. Less busy in the cavity decorations and they are orange! But found a pretty good deal in a white dot for the G15.

Well just bought a set off i200s lol, so we'll see if they will be my favorite ping irons and unseat my s55's

In a related note, the seller said the i200s take .370 parallel shafts- can anyone confirm or deny this? Seems odd since every other ping set takes taper tips, but who knows. I'll find out shortly anyways once i receive them but curious nonetheless.

It could be that they were tapered and have been reamed out.

I seriously doubt that, but will look into it. The i200 might be the best looking PING iron ever, IMHO.

shokosugi I guess I don't get out enough. Just looked up the i200 irons and they are beautiful. I'm used to only seeing the game improvement models and haven't really seen any of the blades in recent years, but they look great.

Please let us know. If they are not .355t, then they are the FIRST PING iron that isn't.

The i200 is actually a pretty forgiving iron in a player's profile. It's a cavity back and is larger than the S series heads.

Yep - they came out after the Karsten I, II, III, and IV models - the Karsten were the 1st cast, perimeter weighted irons. Here is a Karsten II

Ended up grabbing the set of the G15's. The owner had iron covers in the pics with them, so it looks like the heads are in really good condition for being used.

The set has DG x100u shafts and apparently the u stands for unitized or parallel tip. Of course it's possible the label is wrong or maybe they actually are. 370

They are in fact .355, I guess the label was wrong on the x100's

Have a set of Karstens and eye 2. I think I could get into S59’s. I don’t like offset and I think the s59’s are low offset. Anybody know for sure.

G10 are my favs.

Any S series PING would be the lowest offset of all the models.

Well, this discussion and my Ping Eye 2 Sand Wedge find have got me all fired up! When I get back home next week, I'm going to get my set of i5's out and look into reshafting them with something lighter than the stock Ping shafts.
Steve, when you reduce the tip size of a shaft from .370 to .355, do you sand it down by hand, or by machine???
Any special tricks I should know???
