SEVEN SECONDS is a worthy view.

here's the synopsis from IMDB.com
*Tensions run high between African American citizens and Caucasian cops in Jersey City when a teenage African American boy is critically injured by a cop.

I just finished it up. I'm a binge watcher. It plays on the current police/african american climate quite well. I felt it was very well acted. There are some things I wish they'd addressed but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Fish, DiAngelo, KJ, Brenton's mom and dad, plus Nadine were great characters. Some poignant stuff. A slow developer that gets rolling about half way through.

There was also a scene or two that will potentially incite depending on your views.

Just finished season 5 of Game of Thones . Good stuff.

"The Fundamentals of Caring" was terrific. Quite a few twist and turns with a really 'feel good' movie.
The just released "Irreplaceable You" was a tear-jerker.

limpalong I saw your recs and immediately went to check both of these out... I started, IRREPLACEABLE YOU, but turned it off due to the poor audio mix. I clicked on the other one, and I have to say that I'm truly saddened that it came to an end. What...a...ride. One of the best I've seen in awhile.

Thank you for posting about it. I really did love it. So did my wife.

Watched the pilot episode of ‘Bloodline’ this evening. Wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.

Three seasons are out, so it’s a binge watcher’s dream. Hopefully the next episode is as good as the pilot was.

Toulon We have so much to be thankful for when the highlight of one's life is standing up to pee.😀

Wife and I really enjoyed it.

limpalong I fell asleep during 2nd attempt on, IRREPLACEABLE YOU but I couldn't stand it. Bad audio and terrible acting especially by the husband. What she was trying to do was offensive to me.

The Paul Rudd one was similar to, BOX OF MOONLIGHT, in I didn't want the adventure to end, and was sad when it was over.

"Wind River" was GREAT! It's new on Netflix.

            PA-PLAYA

In did not like Bloodline, weak imo. Seven seconds ok, Jessica Jones 2 starts next week! Anyone each Veronica yet?

RobertThomas How many episodes did you watch of Bloodline before you stopped, or did you make it the entire way through?

Just completed the first season of the Netlix series, "Bloodline."

It has been excellent. Ben Mendelsohn (Australian actor, who portrays Danny Rayburn in the series) has been phenomenal.... he won a Primetime Emmy Award and was nominated for a Golden Globe award for his acting in the series.

Not sure how the next two seasons play out, but the first season has definitely been binge-worthy.

If you liked the first season of 'Ozarks', something tells me you might like checking this one out too. The storyline and writing has also been exceptional.

On a side note, I'm always amazed at how quickly the Brit and Australian actors pick up the American dialect. I had no idea he was Australian until I checked out his acting profile on the internet.

                I'd highly recommend it.

Just finished, TAKE YOUR PILLS... A look at what really is co-equal with the opiate epidemic, The problem of people on "legal" amphetamines. IE: Adderall, Vyvanse, and to a lesser extent, Ritalin.

It featured former NFL'er Eben Britton who was an Adderall abuser.

This issue is deeply personal to me and I get very riled up watching things like this. I just can't believe we live in a world where this happens. Profit over people. Pushing drugs to get rich, and the slick, clever, EVIL ways this has been marketed and sold to the American public. It's so disgusting it makes my stomach turn.

Anyone check out the documentary, Wild, Wild, West? Unbelievable story. Not as riveting as some others but the story is crazy and true. Can't believe that actually happened.

Not on Netflix but I recently started watching Black Sails on Starz. There's nothing like stories set in more primitive times for brutal violence and sex scenes with prostitutes. 😃 Thumbs up after 5 episodes.

There is a new entry on Netflix called, "Chronicles of Champion Golfers". It has stories about Tiger, Watson, Ells and others who talk about what was going on at their Major wins. It is segmented by player so you can watch one player at a time. I really enjoyed it.
