Typhoon I think you're right, getting another set would be cheaper in the long run. You won't spend time and money trying to get the heads looking nice and all the shafts will match.
Yep, but building a refurbished set with your own shafts is fun too. I find it difficult to rely on eBay pics when buying Eye 2 (or any) irons unless they are advertised as MINT and the pics are REALLY good. I tend to have better luck finding nice used sets in thrift stores, Craigslist, golf shops, Play It Again, etc. where you can inspect them up close, but you have to be patient - and if you have the itch................
