I have a rental car until my new company car arrives and it has XM satellite radio. So I'm listening to PGA Tour radio...this is hilarious. They tell u a guy is "over a downhill 7 footer wearing a blue shirt and blue pants with a white belt".
I can't believe I'm listening to this.
PGA Tour radio on XM
They even pronounce the names wrong. Classic is they called Dechambeau's irons as matching irons....instead of single length.
Is Mike Tirico involved in any way?
The Sirius XM pga tour play by play is unlistenable.
Every once in a while they have an old tour vet hosting one of their talk shows and some good stories are told.
Outside of that the channel is worthless.

Back in my army days, the running joke was that the officers who were royally f**ked up were reassigned to a post somewhere in Siberia.
The golf commentating equivalent of that would be reassigned from one of the major tv networks to having to do play by play on Sirius Satellite radio. It couldn't possibly get more bottom-of-the-barrel than that.
But... I guess enough folks listen and support it, otherwise Sirius wouldn't carry it.
I think they used to air this channel 24/7 at the prisoner cells at Gitmo, until the UN found out and deemed it too cruel and inhumane.

My wife has satellite radio in her car. I only get to listen to it on Saturdays when we're out and about. Hank Haney's show is good (10:00 am). Larry Rinker's show is good. Like Leadbetters's show as well. There's several others that are good as well. Michael Collins (the comedian) is good. Pat Perez is good also. There's several others like Dennis Paulson and Carl Paulson's show that are good also. Matt Adams can get a little too sappy for me.
So, for me the talk shows are very good. I generally only listen to around noon. Then we switch to the 70's channel and listen to Casey Casem's top 40 from back in the 70's. So, for me PGA radio is a thumbs up.
I don't know how I lived before Sirius/XM. I only occasionally listen to the PGA channel, usually if I'm out on the road and missing a majors weekend.
And I love hearing my Rangers hometown call. Other than that it's music...Chill, Beatles Channel, Classic Soul, Classic Vinyl, Sinatra Channel, etc.

I enjoy Sirius XM as well, primarily for the sports channels. The local sports channels are a bunch of homers who seem to thrive in entirely too much negativity.
And, the occasional Billy Joel channel that pops up from time to time.
Just can't tolerate the local sports talk radio bullshit any longer. I get a good deal through my Sirius XM Satellite provider, but I'd probably pay for it even if they increased the subscription 100%.
When they doubled the rates and added in the royalties etc...i gave it up. Use Spotify now.
I DO like having xm in the rental and yes, I miss not having it but it was just too much money.
I don't mind some of the talk shows on PGA Tour radio, it's the " play by play" quality that's poor.
PGA Tour radio =
And they're already playing Christmas music, and have been for several days now...
