Jailbreak?

So, almost a year later, is "jailbreak" really the game changing technology that Callaway hoped it would be? Is it "Epic?"

To be fair, I think these were aimed at guys with more club head speed than those of more average games. The X hot line was great, but none of that was worth a shiiit in the drivers if you could cut loose on one. I was excited to see Cally finally come out with something that didn’t either spin like hell or feel like dog shit of the face. That said, I’ll be waiting for the price to drop more before I’d consider it. Just my opinion though

Hitting better drives right now using a Taylormade Burner from circa 2004-2006 than I have with any other driver in the past decade. Don't want to mess with a good thing.

Both fairway finders as well and as long as anything else I try these days.

Me too. Found a MINT 2007 Burner and it is reliably straight. I hit is as far as I can hit it. 😉

Thousands of dollars later and I finally realize that distance is waaaaaay overrated. Finding the fairway is key, distance is secondary.........even for a short knocker like me.

For me its one of the best drivers I’ve ever hit for feel, distance and forgiveness. Mine is shafted with the Wishon S2S Black shaft in stiff flex. I have the non Zub Zero model although I had that one too. I don’t find either one of them punishing on mishits more than any other driver. I decided on the non zub zero version based on the shaft.

sdandrea1 Those damn things are still one of the best drivers out there. As TM goes, it might still be their best ever. I hit the R15 well enough to consider wanting it, buutttt nah.

I hit the Epic at demo day back in April and then again in June. Killed it..and straight. I was afraid to put it up against the gamer M2 I was fitted for.

I still haven't tried the G400. Looking forward to it. If I don't get on a LM with it and mine I'll wait until April for the outdoor demo and do it then.

Reason for OEM now vs components.......... I got tired of building, experimenting and as an aging player and very little play it has prompted me to find quicker solutions. Refer to my Mega sale as supporting evidence.

The only local shop carries Callaway and I remember him yammering on about jailbreak and how it fools the Cor or CT test......the same guy who was yammering on about 17/1700 being ideal when and after the SLDR came out, lol. Gotta love marketing!
