Lately I've noticed that there seem to be less new discussions started on the Buzz. Sometimes you can go several days in a row without a new post. Guys. please, we've all been together since the old FGI days, lets do what we can to help Golfbuzz thrive and prosper. It seems like the same few dozen members are the ones contributing new threads. It our responsibility as members to promote dialogue and friendships here. So lets see more threads , without fear of criticism or mockery, and keep this place Buzzing.

Good thought!
Some folks like to beat dead horses.
I would think you'd be more upset about the removal of the unnerpants advertising. sheesh!
I started with FGI in '02. In those days I could spend hours just on the Clubmaking sub-forum. Then about 10 years ago the golf industry took a nose dive and interest in the golf forums did the same. Before that there seemed to be a lull in forum activity at the end of the golf season and would pick up later in the fall. This was often referred to as the "silly season" and forum activity peaked for months. For the past 5 or more years I just haven't noticed it doing that.
I think my first golf forum was on the old Dynacraft website. That is where I discovered FGI and GEA. Man, I really miss the old FGI.
Rickochet those are days gone bye, my friend, I miss FGI too, Bryant B, My Ostrich, SMT, Mike Tait, the guy with poon, coach.......
Eventually you run out of topics. Cast vs Forged anybody? Tour vs regular versions? Without the component guys pumping out new stuff every year like in the old days, what is there to get excited about? Equipment wise, at least.I think the consensus is there's not much room for improvement for new equipment nowadays.
I wouldn't mind seeing more posts with pictures of courses we've played. I like golf course porn.

I would bet, being my game is so good, that I could hit either of those ponds..... with the same club, all the while trying to hit that green!!(top pic)

Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc.. are hurting forums such as this one. Brian Manzella's site which was once fairly busy like FGI is dead also because he's moved to the social media sites like Facebook.
Also, what's popular now are these golf vlogs where golf enthusiasts can watch sometimes daily vlogs on equipment and teaching. It is what it is. I think they call it evolution.

Spuzz OMG yes! And, he (gwog) would have pitched a royal fit with some of our discussions (and that includes some of my own contributions). Quite honestly, I had/have 'behaved' myself here for quite some time. Somebody opened up a can of worms and well... suffice it to say it's hard for me to sit still on some topics. (And, that's why I liked the old P&R sub-forum.)
Other than that, this has been a very, very down golf year for me. Although, I remain very hopeful for next year. I'd also be interested in those unnerwear commercials except my adblock prevents their viewing. LOL

Wouldn't the judgement of your behavior be better performed by those who are reading and perceiving your posts?

Is that an admission that you can't control yourself?

sdandrea1 Wouldn't the judgement of your behavior be better performed by those who are reading and perceiving your posts?
Only if you say so. But, then you wouldn't know how many times I've held my tongue now would 'ya?
sdandrea1 Is that an admission that you can't control yourself?
No. Admission that at times I don't want to.
Rickochet Those would be the PC 3
Those were popular but not for me.
