  • Dumbest Thing I've read today, via the internet......

Hunter safety instructor and firearm safety instructor in a public school system in the 70's. Today you would be arrested. Also a handgun safety instructor that used to train police so they could qualify to carry a weapon. I own one or more firearms and have never seen the need for a Bump stock. They were approved, twice by the BATFE during the last Administration as not violating the Automatic/Machine Gun rules. Using one for any length of time in a semi-auto rifle will result in a burned out barrel, cracked bolt mechanism and damage the chamber of your firearm. A semi-auto firearm is not designed nor built to withstand that type of stress. To me, dumb to own and dumberer to use. Unless you have money to burn on firearms and ammo. If that is the case, I need a new set of golf clubs so send the money to me, I'll put it to good use...

candukid . You really need to get with the times. The world has changed and your country is falling behind because of backward thinking people like you. You cannot go back to the 50's and apple pie and sock hops. Your kind has been passed by. Get over it.

To our Canadian friends on this board. I have visited your beautiful country numerous times to vacation and admire a lot of what your government has put in place. Learn from our mistakes and some of the things we've done right in America.

I just learned there have been 3 terrorist related incidents in Canada so far this year. I found that interesting that the USA has also had 3 terror incidents so far this year and we have almost 10 times the population. (The jury is still out on Mr Paddock in Vegas because ISIS is claiming he converted early this year but that is unconfirmed.)

The recent killing in Edmonton was an attacker that had deportation orders in the USA but he made his way to the Canadian border and was granted asylum a few years ago.

The most recent confirmed attack in the States was just a few weeks ago when a Sudanese immigrant shot and killed one church member, injured 8 others, after a Sunday morning service southeast of Nashville. He was interrupted by the sole usher who had the wits to go get his gun out of his car and confront the attacker holding him until authorities arrived.

I'm not for closed borders and isolationism but we do need to know who these immigrants are that want to get in to our countries.

ode the thought really is to protect oneself from its own government?

What did you think the purposed of the 2nd amendment was anyway? It ain't to protect your right to hunt.

ode is it worthy of taking away the right to have things like bumpstock from law abiding citizens to try and prevent the non law abiding citizens from obtaining them, or to prevent these mass killings.

No, it's not worth it because A) you'll never prevent criminals from getting their hands on them if they want them and 😎 even, in fairy tale land, if you could outlaw all guns and somehow get all the gun owners and criminals to turn in their guns (yeah, fat chance of that happening...), even if you could somehow make that happen, criminals that want to kill large numbers of people will still do it. You'd simply be removing one option from them, but they have a myriad of options to choose from.

It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

        ode if Hillary gets elected

Hillary doesn't have a chance in hell of the presidency ever at this point. Hell, she'd be lucky to be elected as dog catcher anywhere other than a liberal stronghold.

Bill, the powers that be don't like it when you post pictures of guns here. This post will likely be deleted soon. Don't worry though, you can threaten member's family members' lives and it's acceptable.

        • Bill replied to this.

puttnfool lol, but you....now, a lot of time has passed since we kicked the Brits out and our wig wearing forefathers ratified the Constitution and 2nd amendment!

ode a lot of time has passed since we kicked the Brits out

Yeah, and for some reason they still think we should care what they think.

            ode lol, but you...

What's that? Cat got your tongue? What were you trying to say?

            • ode replied to this.

BTW, I just checked my copy of the 2A and it doesn't have an expiration date. Do you really think that our founding fathers in their wisdom really meant for the 2A to be temporary?

              puttnfool

I hope not, those Henry's are functional art, IMO. That's the only Golden Boy I have right now but I plan on picking up a couple more.

puttnfool lol the ? Is posted to you, today, is that why you have your guns......I think the cat has yours...or is it that you can't help but troll?/!

ode You're confusing. You should all be fairly familiar with my beliefs and why I defend the 2A. You just stopped mid-sentence and I just wondered why you didn't finish your thought.

puttnfool... or imagine how many patriots might have armed themselves with a tool similar to what they'd face if they ever had to defend their country against their government.

I think, with this statement, you've shown all of us where you are coming from.(and possibly where you are headed)
The fact you've also poisoned the mind of your offspring is shameless.

                **Definition of patriot

one who loves his or her country and supports its authority and interests **

Bill Why would I have had the need for more than 1 shot at a time? Was I going to miss?

Par4QC What if you see multiple rabbits, squirrels, deer, or whatever animal you're hunting?

puttnfool Have you even read the 2nd amendment to see what it does say? Along with all the 'attachments', decisions, etc.? I'd bet not from your ramblings. If you have, you certainly do not understand the English language as it is written.
