It used to be that anyone could walk into a store and purchase a gun and ammo, and walk right out the door same day. Simple guns. Simple ammo. Somewhere along the line, there became a need for super guns and ammo. For what reasons I've never been quite sure. Now, if you come at me with the old "for protection", then I have to blame you for the access of such weapons, to anyone. These super weapons belong only in the military, where they are a necessity.
I said "it used to be", but that may be wrong as it appears anyone, laws and legislations not withstanding, can still walk into 'some place' and purchase any gun and any ammo. That's just plain wrong, and I've fired a lot of weapons in my day. For purposes intended.
