Oh - got the Monday's mixed up.
Pre-DS Course Ideas
OK, Here is what I plan to pursue for Monday 9/04, Tuesday, 9/05, and Wednesday 9/06 as far as golf courses. Please let me know your ability to attend so that I can then make tee time reservations. The ability to secure these will not be possible until 1 -2 weeks prior to the dates.
Monday (9/04) :
Early time say around 8 am
The 500 Club.
http://www.the500club.com/ The cost should be around $39 plus tax. A new course for our group.
Tuesday (9/05)
The TPC of Scottsdale.
We can play both courses for $120 plus tax and have a lunch once again that is included.
THIS DOES REQUIRE A 36 HOLE COMMITMENT.
An all day Golf experience.
Wednesday (9/06)
Papago Golf Course
http://www.papagogolfcourse.net/
A tradition with tee times planned to start around noon.
Please let me know your ability to attend these rounds by posting here, and we will work earnestly to make your Golfing experience be such.
I like it. But I do have an open mind if the group wants to try a different course on Wed.
I'm good for the Saturday round in Tucson and then Monday/labor Days round
This needs to be a "sticky " thread
Now THAT is a RESPONSE ... Sticky done within 2 minutes of email.
Thanks Jrock.
i can probably make some of the early ones if you guys need an extra player. think im going to limit the 2 round a day ones though only want to do that maybe couple of times that week, not every day
- Edited
OK looks like:
09/02 - Tucson, Dove Mountain (most likely)
09/03 - Tucson, course TBD
09/04 - I'll call it a Hobbit/FauxAmish choice for now
09/05 - 500 Club
09/06 - TPC Scottsdale, both courses
How's that look gentlemen?
Looks good....I'm in for the 2nd and 4th
Not big on the 500 club based on the local's opinions. Most say it's just a decent muni....
Sorry, I have been in Indiana for work and DC/Maryland for fun the last couple weeks, and not sitting at the computer much lately. I am in for Dove Mountain, there are a few other very nice courses in the area also. There are 27 holes at Dove Mountain, FYI. Do I need to setup tee times or anything for the group? Here are a few of the courses I would recommend for the 2nd day in Tucson.
http://www.sewailogolfclub.com/ - Casino Course I haven't played, heard it is the best course in Tucson. U of A's college team plays here
https://www.playthepines.com/ Very close to the house, where I play more often than not. Good cheap option
http://www.ventanacanyonclub.com/ Super nice course, that is very very scenic
http://www.marriott.com/golf-hotels/tussp-jw-marriott-tucson-starr-pass-resort-and-spa/starr-pass-golf-club/5237338/home-page.mi Again pretty course, kind of pricey, has some long carries very nice course
http://www.vistosogc.com/ Where I play second most, good rates, very good views, and some excellent beer and 19th hole options
https://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/tucson-national/golf - Senior PGA Event Course great condition, prices can be had for good deals, seems to be pure luck when they can be found.
http://www.arizonanationalgolfclub.com/ Haven't played and haven't heard a ton, but looks very nice and is on my radar of places to play i the not too distant future.
Not sure what prices people want to play, and I can setup tee times when I know how many to get. Just let me know your thoughts and I will start to investigate.
