Time for an update. Still missing Bandit (mixed Lab we had to put down back in Nov 2017). He was 13 years old and definitely a huge part of our family. I think of him just about every day. Thought about him a lot this past week, matter of fact, with all of the fireworks going off because of the holiday. He used to hate this time of year, between the thunderstorms and the fireworks.
Anyway, we decided it was time for Duke (our 10-yr-old Yorkie) to get another brother to play with. We picked up "Simba" back in February and he weighed a little over 5 pounds. We named him Simba because that was our kids' favorite Disney movie many moons ago, The Lion King.
This pic was taken a couple weeks back. He's a miniature Goldendoodle, although I'm beginning to wonder about the miniature part. At 6 months old, he's already 30 pounds. Duke is barely noticeable on the left side of the chair, and he's wonder WTF happened to this little pup he could push around and control not all that long ago. He is not amused in the least. LOL. But Simba's been great for Duke, keeping him active. As soon as they wake up in the morning they're playing and going at each other.
