scotts33 Don't really care much about the lofts myself, more about the lie. If I build/buy and they don't play as I want, I have them adjusted, and have always got better results.
As far as lofts go, I don't like looking down at a 6i @ 24* if it appears straight up/down. It has to have offset for the appearance of 'leaning'....more loft (if that makes any sense to others). The sets with a lot of offset + weak lofts are not good in my hands. If weak lofts and very low offset, I'm good to go.
Guess it's more about my eyes than my mind. And I also do buy heads or clubs that appeal to my eyes, not so much going by any lofts of such.
I've had irons that were stronger lofted by as much as 4* over another set and got same results from same number on the sole. Just got to know your swing and what you are swinging.
There's a reason golf is hard. Choosing clubs makes it that way. 😄
