Zero Torque Putters

Who has tried/ uses one? Does it work? Did you adjust your stroke as recommended?

Sneakylong it’s just one of those stupid things someone came up…. “Slow down your backswing”… “ keep your head down”…

At our golf school the guy that runs it always preaches slowing down your backswing. I don’t say anything.

Sneakylong I’ve speeded up my backswing as well to get a “rebound effect” to increase clubhead speed.

Tour Tempo is 3 /1 Backswing to down swing or a very close ratio of that standard whether your rhythm is fast or slow according to research.

I acquired an Aliexpress OZ.1i HS from CallMeAl recently and have been playing around with it. So far informally testing it in my office I am better with my current putter(s) which are all slant necks. I do need to level the playing field though as the OZ is 1" longer than I was fitted to and I don't really care for the grip on it.

I do actually prefer the feel/sound of the OZ and the sightline is a bit better than many other ZT putters I've tried. Overall I like it, but I have a feeling the toe hanging slant necks will probably win out in the end as I prefer their sightlines and my stroke is a strong arc type.

You can always flip it for what you paid probably.
My “old” gamers were Yes Natalie CS and Spider tour. They were both good putters for me but the OZ CS is money on the carpet in my basement. I have a straight back and through stroke. The OZ HS I have is good but not as “good” as the CS. YMMV

Yes probably, but I liked it more than I thought I would so I'm going to play around with it a bit more. I putted better than I expected and it may just have been the longer length (I did choke down) and grip that threw me off. I love the SS Flatso 1.0 and this OZ has a big fat pistol style grip. I also ALWAYS put a backweight in my putters and I doubt the OZ has one. I had a few putter fittings that proved to me that the backweight helps me.

I spent some time in the basement this evening with Jesse and Corey doing a putter shootout. Fake DF3 vs PING TYNE. Corey was making everything with the LAB. Jesse and I both had draws between the two. Feel on impact is sweeter on the LAB. I need more green grass time with the whole herd (CrazE, Tyne, Odyssey, LAB).

sdandrea1 My Tyne is the Tyne 4 sigma 2 that has the pebex face and adjustable shaft so everything of that face feels odd. I could never do a “feel” test because it would lose to every putter. Performance though can’t be beat.

Par4QC I was thinking more like the $16.10 SK Fiber shaft. When I "glue" it up I'm gonna try and snap it like a gorilla just like in the YT video🙃

My last few times practicing the fake Oz HS was losing out to my gamer Toulon H7. I think part of the problem for me is the lack of sightline(s) on the Oz. It's got a single white line < 1/4" long which might as well be a dot I may try some pinstriping on it like they have on some other ones I've seen.

I have no idea how people putt with the original LAB that looked like a big can opener. The Odyssey 2-ball lined is my kind of visual aid.

I pay no attention to whether there is a sight line or not. Makes no difference

Typhoon Yeah, I only look at the ball. I'd have to go pull the putter out right now to know for sure if it has a line.(I think it does)

Typhoon If it's a blade, I don't need it, but with a mallet I want something I can aim on my line.

KCee Do you use a line on the ball? I think a lot of it depends on how you set up to hit the putt.
