Who has tried/ uses one? Does it work? Did you adjust your stroke as recommended?

candukid I think one would need to speak directly to the head of L.A.B. for the true/correct info on this.

The wording of both articles leaves much to be desired for 'truthful' info.

'heads or components' are sourced....... grips/shafts????

'some portion of the heads'.......most likely referring to the weights????

'and some sources indicate'

Par4QC Apparently the former owner stated some parts are made in Mexico once orders increased but can't find the statement. Now that L.A.B is not US owned, I can see some easy copies. They did say all are put together in Oregon. Seems logical. Lucky for me they are not cheap to see if they really do anything.

I'd forgotten they sold(partly). Explains the 'sources' also.
Out of the original owner's hands now and he doesn't give a shit.....already got more money in hand than he would have ever made from sales. And making more from all sales.

Was wondering why no lawsuits as other companies would have done.

Legit LAB heads are made in the US and Mexico. Certainly not China. The shafts and grips, sure.

Don’t be so confident in that statement. Final assembly, sure, but all the heads being milled in Oregon and Mexico? Not a chance anymore. Why do you think LAB never used serial numbers like every other OEM??

My thoughts are that a lot of products, golf or other, come through Mexico to beat tariffs/other charges.
50/50 I'm wrong or right. 😆I'm not betting either way, just thoughts.

Why don't you ask LAB if what you have is legit? Or would you go the conspiracy theory route that they would lie about it?

It's certainly not difficult for China to produce a milled head like LAB and it even be of high quality in some cases. But saying they are the real thing is just jumping the shark. There's probably numerous factories selling on Temu/Ali doing it over there and its pot luck on the quality. The more the factories cut corners the more money they make. If people want to roll dice to save some money that's up to them - but for something like a putter that makes up almost half your strokes in a round, I want everything to be as perfect as possible and let myself be the only problem.

I can only say Landon that my LAB has been a game changer. Like after 30 years of playing turning a bad part of my game into an asset vs my buddies kind of difference. I do think it depends upon the person but apparently for me it was big.

Not necessary when using X Stiff. And it is properly tipped.

A shit-ton of tech going into a $600 club that we just tap the ball with. 🙄. My hickory putter works as well as my modern putter in my hands

ValueGolf I do think it depends upon the person but apparently for me it was big.

I stated that point last year after using one. Not everyone needs it, but it should help a lot for those that need 'something'. Esp. if you have a straight back/forward stroke. jmo
I've tried other brand's ZT putters in stores. They really do not compare. But.....

Jake has a Jailbird, 38"(?). I've used it for around 10 putts when we played together. Drained every one from as far as 40'. It may be better than a L.A.B.
But for the money, I stick with my old Ping.😉

How do you deal with the 5.1* of torque in the stiff graphite shaft?
Does the head have -5.1* of torque to balance that out?

Even if it did, why are you 'swinging' a putter that causes shaft flex?

Like any putter, mallet, blade, Anser style… the ZT is just another putter. If it’s “Fake”… who cares ( other than someone who paid $600 ). It passes the zero torque revealer test so good for those of you that found something inexpensive that saves you strokes!!

Like Steve, I try them in stores alongside the Anser style Cameron and my Ping Tyne. I don’t make any more putts with the ZT. So I’m in Rex’ camp on this. And if it worked for everyone, wouldn’t every single PGA tour player be using one?

I tried a putter a long time ago that had 3/8" rebar for a shaft, talk about 0 torque!
It actually felt pretty good, just heavy as hell.💪

I've seen a lot of missed putts on tour with these LAB things. It still comes down to hitting the right line at the right speed. Whatever gets you there often is what should be in your bag.

I don't understand why this is an argument that a club is not impressive tech. It DOESN'T work for everyone, clearly. Why would the best putters on Tour even think about changing what works?

The fun/interesting part about paying attention to what PGA players do as far as equipment is when they are "struggling" with an aspect of their game, and what equipment patch they may try to put over it. That's what gets my radar up - and is an indication that maybe there's something out there that's different that helps. When LAB started to get traction with a pretty weird look/concept for players that were struggling with their putting, and you saw their numbers improve, that can move the needle. And it clearly did for LAB.

A long time ago at FGI, there was a "thing" where many experimented with graphite shafts in their putters. Why? Because we could. lol
IIRC, the results were the same for most people. Meh.
The extra flex or torque was hard to handle, especially in heads that were heavier
(more than 340g "standard") which was also a new-ish manufacturer trend at the time. Most heads these days are 350+
It died a quick death, I believe.
So is having a graphite shaft in your putter another marketing "trend/BS" or a case of what's old is new again? Just curious.
I cannot imagine using a graphite shaft in my newly re-shafted 400g Yes putter.
I did attempt a few short putts inside with a firm graphite iron shaft taped in it, and it was still "flexxy".
I imagine long putts would be outta here on a real green.
