sdandrea1 Bravopilot Good question. Expectation for that cost and prestige" is not what Landon describes. Landon is the only guy I know that works or has worked for the PGA Tour. I wonder how a course becomes a TPC outfit......and then how do they stay in?
Bravopilot sdandrea1 Right, understand. Hard to understand how it got so bad. I assumed inspections and high standards. Must be the change in owners. No longer a PGA Tour owned course, TPC is misleading. ACRIS Golf owns it now https://arcisgolf.com/arcis-golf-acquires-tpc-rivers-bend/
Bravopilot sdandrea1 Looked deeper at the website--apparently not requirement to meet some standard: "TPC River’s Bend will continue to operate as a licensed TPC property, meaning it will remain a part of the prestigious TPC Network."
LBlack14 sdandrea1 Ahhhhh. They get to leave "TPC" in the name, I guess? I think they're obligated to keep it for an agreed upon amount of time. We were owned by the PGA. Not all TPC courses are PGA owned. They pay for the use of the name, is what I understand.
Typhoon Bravopilot No… priorities. They’ll play a bucket of range balls just to have Tito’s money. One of the members is named “Kid Tito’s”
stroh Typhoon No… priorities. They’ll play a bucket of range balls just to have Tito’s money. One of the members is named “Kid Tito’s” This might be the greatest course with shittiest grass I've ever heard of. And the relaxed cart rental program........
