Typhoon all the above. We get a lot of beginners, which is fine because the place is short, and a great place to learn. We get seniors, because it is short, and an easy walk. We also get tourists who were staying locally and somehow found out about us. A lot of those tourists are from some large city that has multiple courses, and they are always surprised that they found a little course that is, about half the time, in better shape than courses they play on a regular basis.
It does help that the guy running the place has grown up working at courses his dad ran back in Indiana. He has been in the golf course business ever since, and now he runs his own course.
Mike has done work at multiple courses in Tahoe, Palm Springs, and a few other places.
We will never be world famous, or even nationally known course, and we are happy with that. The course pays for itself, and is a great place to hang out and have a drink.
If anyone is ever in the area, by all means stop by and check the place out and play 9 holes.
