I'm in the market for a new driver and would appreciate some recommendations. Unfortunately, I live in an area where I don't have access to trying out clubs so it's been hit or miss for years when searching for a new driver.
I currently use a Tour Edge C721 with a regular flex red Ventus and it's OK, but feel I could do better.
I'm particularly interested in the Ping G400 series (or any other Ping) or maybe the Cobra LTDx.
I'm 69. Swing speed of about 95 +-. Due to multiple joint replacements and a balky back, I've lost quite a few yards over the years. Looking for a forgiving driver and also want to pick up a few more yards. I'd like a smaller head profile.
My budget is $250 or less.
I know it's difficult to recommend a driver to someone on a golf forum but maybe you guys can point me in a direction.
From what I've read, maybe the Ping G400 series (Max?) would be a good place to start.
