Still not understanding why people pay so much for balls. And, for the most part, are using the wrong ball for their abilities!! That's right, boys and girls, there are balls you should be using. And there are balls you should never use. At least 2 of us here know that already.😉

It's rampant here in FL. Tons of guys buying Prov1s with 80 mph swing speeds. The marketing and PGA Tour presence sells stuff.

Played with a young dude back in the fall and on the second hole he blasted his pro v into the woods. He was in there forever trying to find his ball. If you can't afford to loose them you can't afford to use them.

if you really want a cheap replacement for a Titleist prov1, just get a box of mg balls. $19.99 a dozen, available all the time on line, no membership required, etc. Robot tested versus the Titleist and it is longer off the driver and only spins about 150 less off the wedge.

      Total no-brainer. https://mggolf.com/golf-balls/#C4

Par4QC I'm wondering if it's "okay" with you if as a 14 handicap I play Pro VI's. (Because I get mine for free.) LOL I'll await your reply and approval.

Tinker Who is this Tinker guy?! He makes an awful lot of sense. Very unusual for internet golf forums. LOL

Sorry, I can't play that ball as I am not an AARP member yet.

Ball construction alone does not dictate whether a ball is suitable for a particular player. A determining factor is the players swing, not handicap. Sam Farlow, a top amateur, won the Alabama Senior Amateur using a Precept MC Lady.

professor Well, as a 14, you must either be fairly good & playing tough courses/wrong tees, or you just aren't that good. If you aren't that good(at scoring), a possible reason could be those balls are causing it. I just don't know. Even free, why play something that might be in the way of better scores? I wouldn't. I'm lower than 14 & ProV1s are very low on my list of balls to play.

Some guys giving an opinion on a ball they've never even used.....funny!

darpar Well, a person does not need to play certain items to know they are not for 90% of players. Blade irons come to mind real quick. 64 wedges. Drivers lofted lower than 10. "The tips" tee boxes. 2 & 3 irons. Even 3 woods, and others.

ode It has helped my game tremendously, by not buying it.

Now, about my 7.5 driver.....and newly built XV Tour Blades.....😀

                  The madness is back!

I hit 3 trees today with my k sig, durable lol

People saying that ProV's are not for everyone are going against what Titleist was trying to promote a few years ago. Titleist would not be happy.

The 2 pallets of the KSig at Costco in Northern suburbs of Pittsburgh are gone...The word got out...

                    Like the country song lyrics:
God is great , beer is good , & people are crazy.

                    SVonhof What?!?

The C4 is a urethane cover ball designed for everybody. MG also makes a "senior" ball, but the C4 is not it. Maybe my link was wrong?
