Played 18 holes with a single ball last weekend. That's unusual for me as I'm prone to lose a ball or two or three. It would be hard to lose a Volvik Vivid (orange). It has to be the brightest ball I've ever seen. You can spot it from a much greater distance than a white ball. The color and finish held up well and looks great after 18. I hope to play the next 18 with the same ball. It feels like a DT Solo but maybe a little firmer.
Volvik Vivid
Found a pink one yesterday. It positively glows.
May try it out today .
The colors are amazing. I'm not real sure what I think of the performance, I like a higher compression, but it makes me wonder why nobody else seems to be able to get that type of brightness.
I tried one I found, but lost it (when they go in the water, they can easily get "lost"). It seems like a good ball. I did hear from a customer when I was in the local golf store and he said he felt that they were hard to clean when you are in muddy conditions.
I got a dozen of them for Christmas. I like them.
SWMBO uses them. VERY easy to find for our senior eyes!
The Vivid is an 80 compression. I'd like to try the Vibe which is a 65 compression. It only comes in white or yellow though. Volvik balls are not cheap.
Haven't played the ball but the name kinda makes me horny

Did you ever see a Nike PD Long or PD Soft in orange? The past couple of years I've played them in the fall when leaves make finding a ball difficult. They are deep orange almost redish and almost glow. I may have to try the Volvik Vivid balls from now on though, since Nike quit making their balls. The other attraction for the Nike ball was the price, especially since you were going to loose some of them in the leaves anyhow.
Brought in a variety of Volviks about 12 years ago in my shop. Couldn't give them away and they where nice balls. Ended up using them myself.

Sounds like something for me (67 year old eyes with cataracts). I used Noodle Ice pink several years ago and they were super easy to see. I would like to try some Volviks. Leaning toward the green or pink. I have yellow Srixons and Titleist and they are hard to find when the dandelions are in bloom.
The colors are amazing, but I can't use them.
They are SOOOOOO low compression. They absolutely launch off the irons (hard to control distance), but lose tons of distance off the driver. I would play these if they made a harder distance ball.
80 compression isn't that low, but they are recommended for up to 90 mph. They do make harder compression balls. The Vivid XT is for 100 mph plus.

I was looking for some better visibility balls for my old eyes and picked up a box of these at Dick's on the way to play today. I wanted the pink but all they had was green. Oh, well. This visibility of these is incredible. And, this is not a soft ball, nor is it hard. It has a nice click off of the club face. It has nice one hop and stop for me on the green which I like. And to top it all off I hit drives longer today than I have in years even with it only being my 4th round of the year and with a bad back. I think I might have found a new favorite ball. Also, contrary to a post the cover seems very durable.
The cover seems durable to me also. I never knew the value of being able to find your ball so quickly.

I got the green ones. No way will you mistake these for dandelions. I have a box of the pink ones on the way from Amazon. I played Noodle Ice years ago and found that their pink ones were particularly easy to see. I hope the Volvik pink are even easier to find.
