Love to hear you guys discuss the playability differences and how it relates to the 75-80 mph driver swing and the 50 mph 7 iron swing.

I used to use these and Pinnacle balls. They were long off the driver and I could get them to hold greens on approach shots due to the excessive spin I got then. I would buy Pinnacle Exception if they were sold around here. Hit a Callaway Warbird the other day and it stuck into the green where it hit.

Finally got back out to play today.
Balls were the TM TP5 and the Bigg 'Crusher'.

The Crusher absolutely destroyed the TM!! Longer off the tee, up to 30 yards at times, and with that, there is no making up 'anything', by any ball after that, as to FW performance, how much spin around/on greens, etc..

I'll go again with them against something different, but most likely I'll pass them along to Jake.

I've played the Bigg Crusher ball and it's very long. Longer than my regular ball, Pro V1. I think I got a sleeve from Rex when I bought something from him a year or two ago. I liked the ball so much I wanted to buy some more but they're pretty expensive. And their website is terrible. Special deals that don't show up.

My swing speed is probably mid to high 80’s. With my swing speed I’m not going to generate the spin needed to take advantage of a 4 or 5 piece ball.

I need to use trajectory to stop the ball on the green. Plus I like the straighter ball flight of a 2 piece less spin ball. I can hit a lower spin ball plenty high.

Waste of money for me to play a multi layered high spin ball. I find 2 piece balls go further and straighter for my swing speed.

Plus, the control around the greens with a lower spin ball is fine for my game.

Sneakylong If you ever find a Snell Get Sum try it and compare to the Srixon Soft Feel. For me the Get Sum checks up a touch more than the Soft Feel and very similar flight and straight as the Soft Feel. Similar price.

gllama The 1st couple years they were out, they were only $19.99/doz.....order 2 dozen and get free ship. Then last year when I started getting emails they had jumped to $39.99, wtf? But, I was getting email blasts with specials of 3-4 dozen @ $19.99 and free ship. I've been getting them again, so next time I'll see if there is a code to pass along.

Also as an FYI, these Callaway balls are so similar I almost think they are the same ball as the Crusher.......

$39+/- for 2 dozen, only on Amazon....

The Legato ball is $19/dozen on Amazon now. Not the longest ball, but does everything well and has a urethane cover for some check.

KCee I like these Legato for a 3 piece urethane a bit higher spinning off driver but I need that with my paltry driver SS. I use them with persimmon and they launch well with a 10* driver teed down and draw well. Under valued.

scotts33 Yes I find it's one of those balls where I may lose a little with the driver, but I gain it with my irons. The ball is good around the greens for me too. If it said Titleist it would cost at least $35-$45/box.

scotts33 Do you realize they are 85 compression?

I've looked at them but am a bit leery as the pricing fluctuates so much. Reg. price was around $40/doz.. Now advertised/sold for under $20. I wouldn't want to get 'hooked' on any ball that might not be around when I ran out.

Reviews I've read also state low flight off FW clubs and irons. So, not buying, but if someone happens to send me a sleeve🤣.....

Looks like the Legato is similar to my fav ball (Srixon Z Star) but with 350 dimples compared to 338. $20 cdn less at retail as well. Might be worth a try at some point.

I would send you a sleeve, but I only have about 7 dozen balls; if we can't get golf balls here in the near future I will be selling my stash at a premium to fund my retirement 😉
