Had my wife film my golf swing in the front yard. Not as pretty as I thought, but a good tempo and the transition to the downswing looks pretty solid to me.

Can't figure out how to show the whole video, so here's a screenshot of the moment after transition, the first move into the downswing. I was a little laid off at the top right before this, which surprised me, but thls position looks pretty good.

Sorry, not happening. You get these screen shots. Don't want to post it to YouTube.
See above... I was able to get another screenshot right between the two I posted.
Trying to get one close to or just after impact. Will post if successful.

      I added a few more.

I think now they give a pretty good idea of what my swing looks like.

I've seen people getting into much worse positions than these at my local muni. I'm actually pretty happy with how i'm swinging it, for the most part.

Looks way better than anything I can do. I have to swing within the arthritic constraints of various limbs. Remember.....all that REALLY matters is ball flight.

There's a lack of hip rotation. At left arm parallel the hips should be square to the target line and 30-45° open at impact.

I like where you are in the 1st shot. The only thing I would thing about is a little more tilt, maybe ball an 1" forward, head a little behind the ball. If it works and it's repeatable...do it. Not a expert by any means, but looks pretty solid to me.

Not to bad doc. I don’t see your left leg starting to straighten though. If you’d start using the ground (push off with the left foot ) you’d probably gain some distance too.

colej Thanks for the feedback. I see that, too. Could be partly because I am hitting off my fromt yard and I am being careful not to take a divot.
I will have to have somebody film my swing when i'm on a golf course and taking divots.

I’ve been working on it myself too. If watch the long drive guys they rock back and forth. They use it as a swing key the back and forth. Left, right, left, as they move back to right they start their backswing. As the club is just about to the top the weight is bumping towards that left left again.

It appears that you were out there doing a little leaf blowing before getting the golf club out. hahaha

rsvman2 got a bit of DJ at the top ....some lag😉

That's pretty much all us 65+ guys

SMT That leaf blower is kaput, and is waiting to be picked up by with the garbage tomorrow.

Brave guy… recording your swing in the front yard. Looks pretty good.
