DC300 Driver wise, I still argue there isn’t much difference in MY HANDS (or any amateur really) until you put a decade of technology between them. Obviously fit is huge, but past that, the differences aren’t that spectacular.

......AND as we get wiser, we appreciate accuracy over distance.

        sdandrea1 I’m still an idiot I guess, I still want my distance, I miss the old days of flat out over powering the game. I do need forgiveness and that has changed what I accept, I can’t go for the pure distance drivers anymore. I wound up with a dark speed LS that a lot of people consider hard to hit, I seem to get along with it just fine, it’s better than my ping G30 LS and that was/is still pretty forgiving. Truth be told, I ought to be in SGI everything, but that’s harder with a high swing speed.

                DC300 That’s a lot of years between the G30LST and the Darkspeed LS. The Cobra is light years ahead of that old Ping on both distance and forgiveness. Drivers over the last 4 -5 years though seem to have maxed out distance and have focused on MOI/ forgiveness.

                As far as NEW drivers go… the Ping G440 LST gets high marks everywhere. Their Low Spin models have never been punishing. I grabbed a g400 LST and it rivals my g400 max in accuracy. Can’t wait to get them both on the monitor to compare distance. I’m thinking they will be close… and right about what I’m hitting new 2025 drivers.

                          Typhoon I shot my shot on the Cobra, I’ll be working w it for a while haha. It’s not that I can’t buy something else, but I’m not completely ignorant, it’s me, not the club at this point. I like the Cobra, I need to play more or none of it will really matter.

                            sdandrea1 I still hit the ball a long way for a young old guy or old young guy, depending on your perspective. It’s just not what I could do when I was a young guy and it makes me a bit sad haha. My driver now is my 3 wood of old and I just don’t have it to turn it up like I used to. Eventually, I’m going to have to learn to golf, but for now, I’ll keep smacking and chasing.
