I keep seeing this name come up along with the Sooolong model woods and irons, but I don't know anything about them.

My buddy played a set of Integra irons some years back, but I thought they were just some no-name department store brand. Then the other day I saw someone on this forum (LBlack, maybe) had posted a picture of some iron heads that looked pretty nice. But when I investigated Integra a bit more and looked on their site, these iron heads weren't there (and I didn't find the ones that were there very appealing looking).

Now I see someone is selling an Integra driver head. What are the heads like? Are the driver heads legal? I have seen some that are obviously oversized, but then a Sooolong 175 that was advertised as illegal but was of legal size. Is the COR the problem? Then I saw a set of "Trampoline faced" irons on EBay. Are these legal?

Anybody here play this brand?

The Integra brand has been around as long as most component names. I think the home company is Trophy Sports. The brand was sold for a few years under two names Trophy Sports and Tiger Sports due to an internal family feud. And, BTW, there is no such thing as an illegal club. The term is non-conforming. And for that information check with the USGA website for non-conforming clubs.

Rickochet Maybe Almo will pop in . I'd bet he can give us the down low on these fellas.

I believe Integra came from the old Kent Graphtec company that was a big player back in the golden age of knock off components from China. I think the family name was Liou and they kept running into legal problems with the OEMs. They are probably now called Trophy Sports and have evolved into importing some pretty good components.

You can see several of their heads at monarkgolf.com and several of DTG's heads (I think) are versions of them also. Some of their components are quite good but some of them aren't as good (in my experience). I know that some of their driver heads had problems with the face welds breaking a few years ago.

Thanks for the responses. I am surprised that there isn't more information or knowledge about this company and its components considering the company has been around a long time and people on this site seem to be building with and selling these heads.

(For what it is worth, it turns out that my buddy's clubs weren't Integra; they were Infinitis. I don't anything about those, either.)

Steve Almo would be able to tell you most all you need to know....Not he hasn't posted in a while.

        ode

You're probably right, Ode. In fact, I'm quite certain that I know what Steve would say and who is behind Integra. But I'm more interested in the clubs: how they play, how they stand up, etc.

I have some kind of theory about something rattling around in my brain, but I can't quite get it to congeal. It has something to do with quality of clubs (something I have been trying to define for some time), performance, and cost: how/if these are related; how they are related to players' scores/performance/games; and how they are related to "value." If I everything clears up in my head, I'll write it down (but if we're waiting for things to clear up in my head, we might be in for a long wait).

I am always interested in hybrid iron sets. I think that these would be really helpful for ladies and seniors with slower swings, as well as playing in soft conditions (i.e., northwestern US and west coast Canada winter conditions). So, I checked out the Integra iDrives just to see what they were like and to find out more about Integra. They start out at a 13 degree 1 hybrid and progress with 3 degree increments! The SW is 43 degrees and the LW is 46 degrees! Huh!? (say that like Scooby Doo in your head when reading it). I think that tells me a bit about the company, too.

kelco9 Talked to Steve just a bit ago. He's having eye problems and cannot see the small print of this site on his phone...must not have a PC. He's due to have cataract surgery and will be back with us soon after.

He'll feed me some info which I can pass along for the enquiring minds. I'm also curious as to what he has to say as I recall reading somewhere that Integra had a foundry and did heads not under the Integra banner. Something like the Power Play brand and others, that sell through Hireko and places. Don't quote me as I am getting old now.👴

TSC Enterprises is the morphed name of Trophy Sports. I deal with Omar Villagrana when I purchase any Integra components.

scotts33 I would be interested in hearing how Integra fits into your business plan/product line. I know that you deal in Wishon and Swing Science, both of which, I believe, are premium (and premium priced) components. How does Integra align with these in your business? How do they perform in comparison? (Like I said in my comment above, I have a feeling that there's not that much difference. Is there a performance difference that justifies the price difference?)

kelco9 For what it is worth, it turns out that my buddy's clubs weren't Integra; they were Infinitis. I don't anything about those, either.)

Very good components actually those infinitis

As promised, a few words from Steve...............

Rex....it's just as legitimate as any other component company out there without the hype. They mainly sell wholesale but as the retail accounts are thinning out they are selling direct to the consumer like many others more and more. They have been around since the early 90's and are known as a clone company for the most part. But, who cares, so are all of the rest of the large and mid-size component companies. Occasionally they show a spark of originality, but that is rare. Whatever the case, Integra makes a solid product that works well and most consumers truly enjoy. They do stand behind their products as well. And their prices are fantastic both wholesale and retail.

I've used several Integra clubs through the years; still use their Sooolong 460cc Cupface driver from time to time. Only thing I dislike about some of their heads, esp. the FW heads, is the closed faces. If they were square, imo, they would probably be some of the best in the business. (For my game anyway.)

candukid Got a set of their KO irons in the bag going on 3 yrs. now. Best steal I ever made from Cutter66!!

Par4QC Got a set of their KO irons in the bag going on 3 yrs. now. Best steal I ever made from Cutter66!!

I've stolen a couple of things from Paul too! 👍
Had KO's but sold them to a buddy...

candukid Haven't heard from him in quite a while. Actually, that coincides with my paypal account being empty. Bastage.

accufitgolf Thanks, accufit. I did see that, but like Mcavoy says, the site and the products featured on it seem pretty dated. I couldn't quite figure out if it was current or not. Like I say, it doesn't seem to have some of the Integra product that I have see around. As much as anything, I was wondering about people's experience with these clubs and what their quality/performance was like. The price points are very good.

                    kelco9

I'm using an Integra 450 driver that I bought about 12 - 15 years ago! It always was the driver I hit the best, and believe me, I've tried a ton of them. It's "old technology," i.e. not the highest COR that you can get now, but for some reason I hit it on the sweet spot more than any other driver I ever owned. I took it to Florida with me this winter with a new "senior" flex shaft in it, and proceeded to hit the hell out of it. So, I guess it's kicked a year old
Wishon 919 out of the bag for now!

fatshot Thanks, fatshot. It seems more and more clear to me that these are a legitimate head to consider.
