Rickochet My son sent me an $100 eCard for Uber Eats. Never used Uber Eats before. I wonder if White Castle does Uber Eats? 🤔
LBlack14 CallMeAl Mom fixed me a Chess Pie For Christmas! Haven't Had One In Years! Mmmm Mmmm! Ok AL, fill me in. I like cheese and I like pie, so......???
CallMeAl LBlack14 Not Cheese..."Chess". Something made mostly in the South. Mom adds walnuts 'cause "That's the way I like it" ala KC and The Sunshine Band! https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/9090/chess-pie/
Par4QC Bravopilot For full disclosure, I will state that I was asked what I wanted. My reply was....'you've been in my place, esp. the basement, WTF would I ever need or want?' I told them sweat pants, for around the house. Only thing I could think of. But if they gave it any thought.....I'd be getting a bag of cash!! 😲😄
Walterjn I've just quit asking for anything. That said, I've received a new yeti cup( it won't replace my current cup), a nice Filson jacket that is perfect for cold weather, wool socks, and a card with $100 folded into an origami heart.
Jelopster Some new razor blades (Rapira Platinum Lux), a shave soap/after shave set, tee and 1/4 zip of my kids soccer club, a SWEET Aldi sweatshirt, a classic Casio G Shock...and COVID. Feeling better but 24th and 25 were rough
rsvman2 Jelopster I didn't know there were other classic shavers here (although KCee also at least used to be)... I also received three soaps from Sudsy Soapery and a new lather bowl that was made by a local potter.
[deleted] I got to take possession of the driver and box of chrome soft balls..at least I got what I wanted.
johnnydoom rsvman2 I didn't know there were other classic shavers here Not really into shaving, but I did purchase a basic Viking duel edged safety razor last year and have been using it for several months. Working from home often has my stubble going for a few days between shaves and those cartridge razors just clog up and quickly become useless until cleaned out with an old toothbrush. I like the double-edged razor both from a use and cost standpoint, but still just use canned shaving cream.

I got the "1988" soap and a/s from Rex Supply (Razor Emporium's house brand) It's a powder musk straight out of the 80s. Most importantly, my wife "doesn't hate it!"
[deleted] johnnydoom Safety razor is so much better. Ditched shaving foam and cartridge shaving long ago. It is getting tougher to find decent blades locally. Walmart stopped carrying them a few years ago. I found a nice deal on Amazon for Dorco blades about a year ago.
rsvman2 johnnydoom Viking makes a very spotty product. If it works for you, fine, but my experience with them has been generally bad. Better to get something more reliable. I would recommend a vintage Gillette Tech. Pretty mlch foolproof, and cheap. If you want modern, go to Italianbarber.com and look at the RazoRock razors.
Jelopster johnnydoom Not really into shaving, but I did purchase a basic Viking duel edged safety razor last year and have been using it for several months. That's what got me into wet shaving. I used my VB Chieftain for more than 2 years before trying some other razors. I've got 5 or 6 in "the den" at this point! I used creamo out of a tube for a few years too before going to the brush and soap
fatshot [deleted] johnnydoom Safety razor is so much better. Ditched shaving foam and cartridge shaving long ago. It is getting tougher to find decent blades locally. I buy my blades on Ebay…..if you have a favorite band, you can buy 100 of them at a time for as little as .15-.20 cents a blade. My current favorite is the Derby Premium…..a 100 pack will last you a helluva long time!!
Rickochet [deleted] I found a nice deal on Amazon for Dorco blades about a year ago. I have been using Dorco blades for many years. My current fav is the Dorco 6 as it is easier on my face. Dorco used to be a lot cheaper when you could order from them direct. I think you can only order from them on Amazon now.
Jelopster rsvman2 If you want modern, go to Italianbarber.com and look at the RazoRock razors. I've got their German 37 Slant (copy of the Merkur 37 c). It's a great razor and can't beat the prices
Walterjn Anyone looking for DE blades, I have shopped at West Coast Shaving. https://www.westcoastshaving.com/collections/razor-blades I I buy aftershave there, have visited their brick and morter store. They have been good to me so far, so I don't have any issues with them. I run a straight razor, and brush.
rsvman2 Walterjn Nice. I use open blade razors, too, but they are all replaceable-blade AC straights. I used old school straights for about two years but switched to the AC replaceables to cut down on honing/stroppimg upkeep.
