Just going by what you post she sounds very nasty. Even with strangers. But it sounds like you have a good time with her with mutual friends etc., and you have a lovely family.
Somewhere along the line she became the boss. You acquiesced. You went along to get along. You have said in the past you married up.
I have a feeling and I could be wrong that she isn’t as bad as you say. You just decided to accept this dynamic with no pushback. She hates golf, but you posted pictures of her hitting golf balls. So she’s no exactly the wicked witch of the west.lol
