Provisional

They were never hideous. 😊 I just got back from Ocala. Now I own a set of green dot Eye 2 irons with TT S300 tapers in them. These were already shiny and clean. I paid more than $27, tho. 😏 I blame Karsten.................

Is shaft spec .355 tapered? I put caliber on pulled shaft from 3 iron, didn't detect change in diameter along tip

Green Dot, Red Dot, Black Dot. What color is actually considered standard specs? I guess I never knew what color signified what loft/lie combination.

Pw is eye+ but I'm liking turf interaction it has. When I get some decent grips on them. I'll be able to tell more but I think I've already decided I like the clubs. Tried 3 iron on a lark , don't believe I can go back to them.

Value G has set of Star grips and ProSofts for my little red eyes on their way. Old Ping shafts will have to suffice for now. I want to beat some balls . Need for instant gratification indicative of deficiency in character strength???

Provisional Need for instant gratification indicative of deficiency in character strength???

If that's the case, my character is one weak bastage........................

sdandrea1 loft. Lie chart. Have no lies

Thought it'd list for black dot for starting point since all colors of lie reference it.

Thanks azreg for the Ping chart. I know I saw it years ago but couldn't remember what was what.

Took my junkyard Ping red eye 2s out for a round today. Couldn't wait for the new grips. Had one of my best striking days with them both on parr 3s and approaches. Worn out slick hard small grips but still managed some decent play. Hopefully honeymoon will continue when I put on the new grips. Was one under for first 4 holes, then I started getting excited 😊
Still trying to determine/settle into the distances the "new" eye 2s will fly for me. Their directional control seems to be good so far. Mostly nice divots, moved ball forward as was suggested to help eliminate steep swing digging. Think I only took one pelt today. Newly shafted G15/Bassara driver and OLD Tmag 200 Steel /GD YS6 three wood (thx Ode) behaved better too. my best day ever with any three wood . Shot one over my best index from three years ago (dim history) even conquered last two holes with long water carries. No tribute for Poisidon today, although Druids got a couple I admit.
            Hope honeymoon lasts forever!

Nice..makes me wonder if some of the issues I had with mine over the last couple years were shaft related. I have the Brunswick Microtaper in them. I'd never pull them...keep the coppers original. Heck, I would only clean them with soap and water.

            Nice Patina.

Got my regripping stuff from Value Golf. Great deal on Classic wrap Star grips ~ $2.50 per . Love my Star ,made in USA, grips. My cheapo Eye 2s now up to $60.17. VG still giving me the FGI discount too. NICE. The new grips help make the old sticks look better, they feel really nice with ProSoft inserts too. Typhoon's tip on moving the ball position up may help keep digging and Mr. Arthritis away. Great tip! No joint pain from my round yesterday and I usually only play 9 before I crap out. I love spring!
Even better than all that , I finally finished removing the above ground pool and huge deck around it today. Habitat for Humanity guys crew loaded the whole thing into their trailer and I danced a jig when they pulled away ! Got a dump truck load of top soil to cover the sand bed where it was. We'll Spread it out next week and seed grass. It has taken me forever to dispose of that darn pool. No one would come and take it even free. Had to do it myself . Contractor wanted $2000 to do it. Not in the budget I said .
              WAhoo!

Glad to hear the ball position tip helping.

The pool....wow! A few years ago ours died during some weird winter weather that totalled a lot of above ground pools in our area. We have our lower deck going partially around the pool attached to the upper deck. So we replaced the pool. I told my wife I was thinking of turning it into a putting green. Have a company come out to put one in. I could finish the front of the deck with lattice, shrubs and stone. I could just extend where the railings ended at the pool. Have them add a few pitching areas in from spots in the yard.

So we get the pool in and 2 weeks after that 75 foot pine from the woods falls while I'm mowing the lawn...crushes my shed , just misses me and the pool!

Provisional I picked up two sets of swamp dipped mix and matched eye2 and plus irons for cheap.

Something to note is that the lofts can vary between the Eyes and 2's and plus's so if you have a mixed set you might want to check the specs for each model.

Typhoon I have joked about how old pool's sand base would be perfect start for planting putting green. Our dogs would make hash of it. I'm 3 miles from two decent public courses and access to practice is fine so why bother and it gives me time away from home / respite too.

Our place has 10 large old pine and sweet gum trees all posing threats to the house. Every storm brings worries that they may fall into it. Not just the house either , but many people get killed from falling trees debris during storms . The trees give us nice shade from blazing hot southern summer sun though and make the old ranch style house a pleasant esthetically pleasing place to live, not to mention cutting down electric ac bill. ????
