My Adams Titanium FW and hybrids make no sound, just the way I like it.

Hit my Cobra SZ 3 wood yesterday and today. It has the sound and feel that I like. Had not hit in a long time (in backup bag). Still gets it out there too.

There's a distinct sound/feel with center contact, that most golfers with high handicaps seldom achieve. Therefor, low compression balls will mitigate the harshness of miss-hits.

Don’t care about looks, sound or feel. Performance is all I care about. Have the Ping G425 driver and the sound is fine. I do play a lower compression softer ball though (Srixon Soft Feel).

Because most do not hit center face. And when you miss, you certainly do feel it/hear it. May be that the same thing is going on when the drivers are noisy....mishits🤔.

I've hit many high compression balls, ProV1x to Top-Flite XL(??). And many low compression down to the Duo 50. I may be bragging a bit, but they all feel the same when hit center. I do not miss very often now. Last round I used some old Molitor balls that felt like anything I had used all summer & was using 20 yr. old drivers.

scotts33 Correct, but it is kinda funny that I can hear all golf sounds. From my clubs and others.
Pros make earsplitting sounds when hitting balls. Even from tall rough. Even for me.
And I can tell you, with no leeway, exactly where I hit a ball without looking at club face. Only exception to that with any club ever was with the Paradym X driver. And it was short-lived in my bag, as great as it was otherwise.

I can hear the difference in between toe, heel and center strikes on other player's hits.
