Weirfan LBlack14 Even though highly processed and terrible for you, I am a sucker for a good all beef dog. Typically just ketchup and mustard but will put bacon and cheese and sometimes salsa. Usually only have dogs when we go fishing.....or if I am at Costco.
Bravopilot LBlack14 In my college days, I ate them uncooked dipped in a mustard jar. Still use mustard but not cook them. Had one at COSTCO this week, the bun was half the dog, not seen that before.

mulegolf I really dislike plain yellow mustard on almost anything except in deviled eggs and potato salad. Plain yellow mustard on hot dogs or hamburgers is disgusting. I do use Heinz Ketchup on my hot dogs and brats Most of the time I'll add honey mustard to the dog or burger and yes to onions, chili and cheese on a hot dog. If I have that I do away with ketchup and honey mustard.
Bravopilot mulegolf Deviled eggs? Not tried mustard on those. Agree, I now use Honey and Dijon but just refer to as mustard
mulegolf Bravopilot The mustard is mixed in with mayo and the yolks. When you get done mixing the concoction you put it in where the yolks were. Chill and eat.

I think there dozens of ways to make tater salad including cooked cauliflower being substituted for potatoes for faux-tato salad. 😜
johnnydoom I love yellow mustard and don’t mind it in potato salad, but I prefer to put zing in it with Miracle Whip instead😆. As for ketchup, I only use it on French fries and onion rings. I think I’d have to pass if someone handed me a hotdog with it on there.

DC300 Weirfan there really isn’t anything better than a smoking hot cast iron pan to get it done. I opt for a smoking hot grill with a tight grate, simply because I don’t want to deal with the smoke in the house. I get most of the crust without the smoke in the house, up next is a side burner on the grill to make it all happen outside.
jsippy73 DC300 Don't like it when the smoke alarms go off. Cook outside on my grill to perfect 145 degrees with a little flareup to add great flavor.
Typhoon LBlack14 Couldn't tell you the last time I had a steak. Had pork chops a couple weeks ago. We used to have it every week, then the prices went through the roof and we just didn’t bother anymore. Like you, I can’t remember the last time either.
