Rickochet Took a year to get ours. They were running about 7-8 months behind when ordered. Then when it came in, the (husband) owner of the monument company passed away suddenly. He did everything in the shop and his wife ran the 'front'/store area/sales. She seemed much younger than him and I was somewhat afraid that she would shitcan the biz, being it was just him & her. But she stuck it out (still going strong) & notified everyone that delays were forthcoming. She had friends that came in and did the blasting, setting, etc.. It looks great!!
This delay of monument stones is due to Covid. Just another thing. Still ongoing what with all the money people got for free and doing house remodels...granite/marble countertops, etc.. And the prices were driven up according, of course.
fatshot it still brought home the shock and overwhelming feelings of the spouse who is left behind.
There is that!
I was not supposed to be 'left behind', in my mind. Most likely not in hers either. Her entire family has a history of aging well into the 90s. Can't recall any that went sooner than that and her sister is still going at upper 80s.
My family is still 'setting the boundaries'😉, with a brother that will be 80 later this year.
