It's been over 40 years since one of the greatest sports rivalry's played each other in the WS. Each team has a 50+ HR leader,that's never happened before....

Good game. Not as exciting or important as last year's Rangers/Diamondback World Series, but I'll still watch this one.😁

I grew up a Yankee fan, Mickey Mantle was my hero. Over the years I've slowly lost interest in the Yankees. I've
become a Twins fan since they came to Minnesota but when push comes to shove it seems I still kind of root
for the Yankees when the Twins are not involved. I was somewhat shocked to discover that while watching the
game last night.

I grew up a Dodger die hard, gramps used to take me to the LA Coliseum to see the Dodgers play when they first
moved west to LA from Brooklyn. The Coliseum is HUGE and not made for baseball as the outfield boundary was
just a short chain link fence.....left field wall was only 250ft. from home plate,looked more like a Little League park
with a lot of seats!
Got to see Koufax,Drysdale,Rosboro,Duke Snider,Wally Moon etc......but even living in So Cal, Mickey Mantle and
Rocky Colavito (4 homers in one game) , were the two ball players I followed the most.

Saw Koufax pitch against the Pittsburgh Pirates at the old Forbes Field in Pittsburgh. Was with my dad and uncle, I barely remember it, I think I was in 4th grade then.

I don't know how it happened but the Dodgers were my second favorite team. Duke Snyder was my second favorite player back then. I still rooted for the Yankees when they faced each other in a World Series. I became a Yankee fan when a friend of my uncle's (an old Army buddy) would come out here every other summer for a couple of weeks. He lived in Yonkers, NY and was a Yankee season ticket holder. He would always bring me Yankee stuff, Hats, pennants, etc. This was before the Twins came to MN.

I went to all 3 home games in ‘77, and was sitting in the RF lower deck for game 6, Reggie’s 3-HR game
I’m going Tuesday. I was hoping it was the series clincher, now I’m hoping it’s not. We should have won yesterday, hopefully Carlos is on today and judge finds his swing

Ps. My mom was huge Brooklyn Digers fan and went to a game in the ‘55 series (back when secretaries could afford to go to baseball games, let alone WS). Now she’ll root for either Mets or Yankees, but she’s become a huge Braves fan since we moved to Alabama, loves FF. She’s torn

That was epic. I know it was over the top, but it is New York. Frankly it energized the stadium. NY is a tough place.
