Sim 2 Max driver opinions

Not the D version.

One player in my last group was hitting one and seemed to be doing quite well with it. I'm not sure how interested I am in it, but I don't get the chance to visit many golf stores and I'm pretty sure that this is yesterday's news as far as they are concerned.
I do like the blue stripe on it.
It seems to be somewhat lower spinning.

Was he hitting the Max version? Both the OG Sim that I have and the SIM 2 were great… much better than the Stealth. Great head shape, ball feels good coming off the face too.

Typhoon It was a Sim 2 Max. It was blue. Not sure if it was the D version or not, but I could give 2 sh!ts about that.

Sim/Sim2 and Max versions are exceptional drivers. I haven't hit the Qi10, but I hit every version of the Stealth/2 and my OG Sim was clearly better

I thought the stealth + was terrible. The SIM max was fantastic.

Right now the Sim Max 2 D is my go to driver before I battled cancer the last 7 months. Since coming back to play, it's still is my go to. One thing I do like is that I have 2 Taylormade M6s that use the same shafts and tips so I have 4 interchangeable shafts for it. It out performed my 2 M6s per my Mevo unit. Great driver.

I went from the M4 to Sim 2 max. One of the best drivers I’ve ever had. It was definitely better than the m4 for me. I hit them both a little too high but straight mostly. I went to the Paradym and picked up more yardage like 15 yards but I’ve lost the accuracy I had with the sim. If I still had the sim it would be back in the bag earlier this year. Great driver and I really miss it. Might start looking for a deal on one

colej I had the Plus and just didn’t get along with it. After that I got the Stealth 2 Plus and the only reason I took it over the core mode was that it was cracked and I knew I could send it back for a Qi10.

It’s interesting that the two models that TM recently kept producing as legacy offerings were/are the M4 and Sim 2. The M4 has been very good to me. I’m hoping for a larger sweet spot in the Sim 2. My hits are within the middle third of the face but when I hit the actual middle of the M4, it goes a good bit farther than my average hit. I’d like a driver that can reduce that gap from average hit to middle hit. That’s my goal here.

Had the Sim and it was a moonball launcher. No loss of distance but just could never tell how far it was going after the hit, it went so high. Then got the Sim2 Max in a lower loft. Was just 'another driver' for me & basically gone the next day.
With the price under 300 now, I have been tempted to revisit. But, Oct. is coming. So, not this year.

Typhoon Thing about TaylorMade with me is, I'll never buy a used club of theirs. Too many bad reports every year. And too many beating the range balls every day, for my liking of used.
Right now the Sim2 can be had under 300 brand new.

Typhoon You are too young for that, but a true cheap Geezer is working the angle to get a better club at very low cost. I need to downsize my drivers and need to try a big trade.

Par4QC I've been lucky over the years with no Taylormade defects. Bought the first M6 12* new with a Fujikura Pro 2.0 shaft regular flex, the second M6 10.5* used with a red Ventus regular flex shaft. Then bought a new UST V2 Taylormade tipped shaft and last the Sim Max 2 D 10.5* head only and ordered a new Fujikura Speeder senior flex shaft for it.
All have been great.

I have an OG Sim head on marketplace. It’s used but has plenty of pop. Every club gets beat at a range unless you look for a minty one. Callaway CPO would have good ones. The SIM and even my Qi10 don’t give me a low flight with 9 degrees. The only heads there were problems with for the most part were the Stealth series.

One of the guys in my group had his Stealth 2 face come off recently and they sent him a new Stealth 2 head. He was just happy to get a replacement, but we were wondering if he would get the latest head or not.
