I know that some abhor the thought of, or even mention of, beans in chili, but the can does say 'chili beans'. Put me down for them.
And I'll take 2 please!

My wife was a no beans-in-my-chili person. So she would just pick them out and I'd take them.

And if I'm not mistaken, it is a hanging offense in Texas to put beans in chili.😄

Don't really matter much to me. As long as it tastes good, it can be made with gopher for all I care.

Either way for me…love a good C-Dog every now & then…which is rare because I am the only one in household that will eat one 😂

That's one nasty looking tomato slice! It's coming to the end of real - garden tomatoes, the only ones that are actually delicious. That slice looks like hot house garbage. Take it off and then that's a good looking "dog".

No beans if used as a topping - in this case on a hot dog. Eaten as a stew I'm fine with beans, just don't like the look of beans sticking out or falling out of the hot dog for some reason.

Beans on a chili dog must be a regional thing. I have never heard of it until now. For me no beans or pasta in the chili on a dog. In a bowl I like chili with beans and pasta. "Cincinnati" chili also has cinnamon in it which makes me gag.

Par4QC There is a place here that sells hot dogs and frozen custard, which I think is odd for a small town. No desire for a chili dog, easy pass. However, hot dog and Miracle Whip may be worth trying😎

It has not been a good year for tomatoes here. Grocery maters always suck. I guess do to weather we have not been able to get locally grown ones. There is only one vegetable stand in town this year. They sell tomatoes grown by the Amish in southern KY and even they are not up to the usual taste this year. My favs are the purple heirlooms or pink German Johnsons (no pun intended).

PA-PLAYA With or without beans?

No beans! Actually, beyond the local authentic Yocco's dog, made with their "special" chili sauce (the secret ingredient is ground-up hotdogs from the day prior - LOL), there are some folks more toward the North Country who like their "Michigan's" Then there's always the music video - classic - by John Cougar, nee Mellencamp - the one about suckin' on a chili-dog outside the Tasty-freeze... Yeah, that one!
