And for you former New Englanders, the price tag on the Nite ball is from Lechemere!

I've got 1 or 2 of those around here somewhere. Have the Tour
Silver titanium shaft here pulled out of 1 of them. Was our head Pro's at Beckett Ridge Country Club, 1st private club I put 12 yrs in at. He gave it to me.

A few years later...actually around 1992 I think , I had a set of the taylormade woods with Ti shafts. In Arizona after playing Desert Mountain I ran into the owner of Sandvik Titanium at a gas station.

Typhoon If you want a monster wind club, off the tee, put an 80 gr. shaft in that head. Never gets above the treetops & runs like hell when it hits the ground! Built me one of them several years ago..... when I could still swing 80+ gr..

I bought a Taylor Made Tour Burner (the one with the dimples around the sides) 7 driver with the Titanium shaft just as the club was being replaced with the next TM greatest driver ever. I actually bought two of them, the other was 10 or 10.5 (can't remember). They cost me $39 each on a closeout deal. I hit the 7 but didn't like the Ti shaft. It just felt dead, with very little feedback feel and didn't promote much distance for me. I still have the driver in my shop. It's was re-shafted with a graphite shaft and finally with a TT Dynamic Lite shaft after I decided to re-use the graphite shaft in something else. A friend of mine played the 10* and became agitated after a particularly bad drive the first day he used it and threw it. It hit a tree and the shaft ended up with a gentle but obvious bend in it. He continued to hit it from time to time and wouldn't let me replace the shaft for him. He gave it a name and still refers to it from time to time as "Old crooked stick."

When Callaway/Odyssey bought the rights to this putter Pelz tried to get a percentage of future sales. They told him no. The two ball putter went on to be one of the biggest selling putters ever.

Rex, I'd be afraid I'd miss the ball at this point! It still has the original Taylite silver tour wrap grip on it too.

The shaft is bent some and rattles because I used to keep it in the car, on Friday bites we'd get out of work at 10 and drink in this huge parking lot. Then we would hit balls with it at the warehouse across the parking lot. I had a mat to hit off of but everyone was hammered to someone's bad hit bent it. After that I didn't use the Mar, hit balls off of beer bottles.

Tinker Really cool, Tinker! Im a bit of a putter collector and I'd love to have one of those....but only if I found it at a yard sale, LOL! Thanks for posting. 🙂
