I had been playing A flex in my 4-5-6 hybrids. Hit them high but with a pronounced fade lately. Bought some old Sysyem Qs ( same as I was hitting) with R flex Graffaloy Pro Launch Red. Figured no way that can work but took them out one day for kicks and the fade is gone. Hit them lower but straight. Proceeded to put Pro Launch Red Supercharged in the rest of them, (too cheap to spring for the original Pro Launch. Not sure why it works but it does.
So I thought why not try it with driver? Replaced my A flex White Board with an R flex Wishon S2 (?) Black shaft which is tip stiff. First couple holes it seemed like a mistake, but I got used to it I guess because I hit quite a few drives above my usual average. Much lower trajectory but run out. The ones I launched high were the really good ones as I assume they didn't spin like the A flex shaft. Anyway so far I might be on to something. I should have played a few holes with the Aflex to compare side by side.

garyt1957 I've used a lot of A flex. Just have to be careful in finding the one that works. Most are too soft tipped and there is little control. OTOH, some are way too firm in the tip. Best I have found, and use for hybrids, are the Tensei Blue CK 70HY. Not priced bad at around $35, GolfWorks.
Also using an A flex Tensei Blue in a 3wd and it is very nice also.

Since there are no flex standards for manufacturers one brands A is another ones R. EI profiles or some other type of shaft profile are the only way to compare apples to apples or just keep trying and purchasing shafts til you get your self fit correct. And no worries something else will come along and most ho's will try the next thing. ☺

Personally, I am back to steel with persimmon for the most part. 😁

I am finishing this season with a graphite shafted 44" Louisville Smart persimmon driver with graphite and an old 43.50" Dynacraft Cure Tom Wishon/Elmore Just laminated maple with steel. Different strokes for different folks. And I am everyday people! 😆

While I was at Golfers Warehouse today instill couldn’t believe the used club prices. They have 3 sets of TM MC irons with steel non exotic shafts for $899-$999, and they have had 2 of the sets for 2 years. They did have a G400 max driver for $180 that looked like it was dragged behind a car for 50 miles. Holy crap… I don’t understand how a club gets like that.

I did consider offering $300 for a set of Nike Vapor Pro combos that were beat up. They had them priced at $400. I would strip them and maybe get a tumbler like Al has to MM Proto them. But… like I have time🙄

I was looking to replace my Super Concord #5 and #7 woods for my winter bag with a single in between wood and I stumbled onto the Ram 2EZ #7 wood. The specs on the website are rather basic:

#7 21° 61° D1.5 +/-3

A +/- 3 swingweight spread is huge; but I guess you get what you pay for. Mine measures C9 which is exactly what I was looking for, so I did not need to modify anything just changed the grip to a CP2 wrap. The shaft is a Ram Supalite (?) 62g in Senior flex at a clublenght of 42.5”. The clubhead weighs about 214gr and is around 135-140cc. These are more like traditional #4 wood specs, with a #7 wood loft of 21°; so it’s more like a heavenwood!!!

The Super Concords are easy to hit, but this Ram with the slightly bigger head is even easier, almost 2EZ. Distance wise is fits perfectly between my SC #5 and #7 at 165m. I really like this club, it’s a keeper.

Pondering a graphite putter shaft again for my Scotty Studio Style GSS along with a refinish and see if they can reweight it.

I’m playing with fire. Buying a LAB 2.1 putter. My Scotty has been super solid last 3 years. Son in laws dad offered it to me for $225 I couldn’t pass. I’ll probably go into the shitter on the greens now

bigshank Those Lab putters scare me. Very expensive, very weird, very ugly. Ask Rex how his is?

I search local marketplace for Scottie’s. I finally stopped, I have enough.

I'm a sucker for a good deal too lol but it's all good. If you putt better with it, then that's a win and if you don't then that's okay too because it'll be easy to resell without losing money and you'll have scratched the zero torque putter itch to boot!

Typhoon Sold my Link 1. I had won it in a contest, so it was a no brainer to load my pocket with cash.
I did play it a few rounds. No other putter like it.

They will not swing off line unless you do it with your hands/arms....in which case a $12 shipped putter is best for you. Perfect balance. Really great at long putts where you give them a bit more ooomph.
Any missed lines, mishits, is on the user.

I’m pondering going downstairs and putting the TW’s in my bag and the Nike Vapors in the box.

I’ve also pondered trying to get the qi35 max fitting head when I turn in my cracked qi10. The fitting heads have the GCQuad launch monitor face dots on the face embedded under the last layer of face.

Yes I get it free. Last year I was a bit up in the air on core or max model and the core looked ok to me. It performed ok but at all the demo days I’d hit the max during downtime and it was point and shoot. This year the core is the same look as the max but with the improvements on the max im going for that but i really want the fitting heads because of the spots. The retail heada don’t have them. Hope they’ll accommodate.

shokosugi yeah pretty much what I was thinking too. My Cameron isn’t going anywhere. The looks are weird. My fear is I might lose speed touch on fast greens. It looks like a tank
