Par4QC It makes sense that he didn't know about her; saw her, but nothing registered, just someone lying on the floor. And his death can be directly attributed to her not being around to help him.
She must have just keeled over while fetching his heart pills(assuming they were his, not hers)...that were said to be scattered on the floor where she was found.

The report says your scenario is pretty close imo. They know she died ~ February 11th because of e-mail, errands, surveillance cameras.
The hantavirus pulmonary syndrome she died from is relatively rare, but can be fatal.
(Hantaviruses are found throughout New Mexico and primarily in deer mice. Human infections are rare but serious. There have been 136 such cases in the past 50 years in the state, and 42% of those cases were fatal, said Erin Phipps, New Mexico State Veterinarian).
The pills on the counter were for her thyroid. Advanced Alzheimer’s can explain he wouldn’t have known what was going on.
He died a week later on February 18th. He had no food in his stomach, but was not dehydrated. So it looks like she collapsed in the bathroom and died. He couldn’t take care of himself and died a week later.
The dog’s autopsy results haven’t been released. Heard early accounts the dog was in some sort of enclosure / crate in the house. The dog had a procedure done on the 9th. That could explain why it was in a crate etc.. If so that would explain no food and water. The two other dogs might have had access to food and water which would explain how they were able to survive.
So it looks like we know basically what happened. Shame that no one checked on them before. He could’ve been possibly saved. But anyone who has seen someone with advanced Alzheimer’s it’s no way to live. 95 years old is a long life to have lived. 65 is young though.
