Wow. Really enjoyed Gene in everything from The French Connection, and as Lex Luthor, and particularly as the vicious sheriff in Unforgiven. Great actor for many roles and able to portray tough with the best of them.

He was a giant of the screen. Played so many memorable roles and in some was a fantastic villain.

If these details point to she was dead weeks before he was it would seem Gene couldn't handle her passing. He was 95 and I wonder what kind of faculties he had available at that point?

The most compelling part of this story is what did she die from if she died weeks before he did?

One of my favorite Gene Hackman movies was The Conversation directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Robert Duval was in it also.

The family suspects carbon monoxide as well. They were dead at least a day. Two other dogs were found alive inside the compound.

We had plug in detectors in our house in MA.. We had natural gas so it made sense.

They said a space heater was near Hackman’s wife in the bathroom and pills were spilled. Gene was found in a mud room and the dog was in a closet. Bizarre.
