Yeah, the slightly elevated Donald Ross greens don’t help. Best to play to the middle of the green. Stay away from the edges. And when chipping onto the green give it enough oomph or goofy golf will occur.
Edit: just saw two approaches back to back that landed near the pin and rolled back down off the green. Both players couldn’t believe it. Goofy golf is on the ‘edge’ of happening.
The USGA said it won't water the greens during the round. With temps in the 90's the greens will dry out throughout the day. Should be interesting.
