He's played pretty well at LIV and withdrew after one round last week citing the foot issue.
I have read he's been "uncomfortable" at the Majors since he left.
Something about some of the guys not being as friendly or maybe some cold shoulder?
No idea, but he's a stubborn and proud Spaniard so I doubt that he would stay away.
Sergio is there. Maybe he's avoiding him? LOL

He's claiming it's a small cut that got infected. Who knows. It may be a course he's allergic to and it's as good of an excuse as any. I have to imagine that pain at the transition weight shift can't be good for playing golf. Don't know if there would be any issues related to pain management meds or shoes though.

Spuzz I am interested to see how BAD performs this week....he has stepped up in the last two majors, but this will be a different kind of a test on his game!

ode He originally did, and made it. But, he is in on WR and someone else got his 'qualifying' spot.
Grayson was at # 60, Scott at #61. They removed Grayson from the list and that moved Scott up to 60.

It’ll be interesting how they set up the pins with the fast greens. If the USGA isn’t careful it could become goofy golf. My confidence in the USGA isn’t very high. We shall see.

Sneakylong Their greens are domed to start with. If they let them go, then it is not golf at all as it will not allow 'skill' to be seen. Only shithouse luck, for most putts, much like a carnival game. And far too many putts of any type.
We've seen it before(so has Phil😄). It is not enjoyable to watch at all.

Yeah, saw Viktor Hovland and Tiger talk about putts that were rolling off the greens from short distances. The USGA said the greens were going to be 13. I hope it doesn’t turn into goofy golf. It’s also going to be hot with temps in the 90’s.

The greens are ultra dwarf Bermuda(I saw this morning it is the first ever US Open to be played on Bermuda grass) if I remember correctly so they don't need to let the greens turn brown to get them super fast since they generally play fast as-is.
There will be some crazy putts, but those of us who play it regularly are used to that and the pros will figure it out (mostly) as well.
The crazy part will be hitting the right spot to hold the green if you don't have a wedge in hand and to not spin it off if you are hitting wedge.
