So I have issues. I sold off the TW set I was selling. I had them in my bag until I sold them…. Didn’t know it’d happen. So now my clubs are the brand new...

I felt a little bit like that when I bought my new Srixon ZX-5 irons. They are forged, and they are gorgeous. I thought pretty hard about iron covers, but then I decided against it.

As others have said, screw it. They're tools, no matter how beautiful they are. They are meant to be used. Drummers spend 8-10K on a gorgeous set lf drums and then beat the hell o tmof them with sticks. Why? Because they are instruments, not works of art, and they should be used for their intended purpose.

Now I can only hope and pray that I have the time, the weather, the health, and enough money for green fees so I can make sure my beautiful new clubs get beat to hell over the next few years.

I became my father. I always picked on him for using iron covers, but then I started using them by putting them on when I left the course and taking them off when I got there. Now I do exactly like he does by keeping them on then taking the specific cover off when I need that club and leaving the cover in my bag until the round is over. I’m a jewels not tools guy.

I don’t miss playing whatsoever. What’s funny is at my old course I had a group I’d play with M/W/F… and I’d be pissed if work got in the way and I’d have to miss a week. Loved their company probably more than anything else. Now at my course I would just go out by myself. When she started bitching i just said screw it and didn’t miss it. I’m good at giving up stuff I like cold Turkey.

I look ahead, I have a dermatologist appt, AC cleaning, wife to tattoo place coming up in addition to buying mulch for the yard , power washing, fertilizing…. Let alone I work 5 days at 3 pm in the pro shop.

At FGI, I ho'd a set of irons (Bailiwick CB) that arrived 2 days before my first trip to AZ, solely because I did not want to mess up my Maxfli Aussie Blade "jewels".

JK....... I found that high bounce wasn't for me in most conditions except fluffy sand.
Loaned it to my PT and, so far, he likes it. I'll see him again next week.

Me. I want my clubs to still look good if/when I decide to sell them. I used to go to absurd lengths to make
them look good when I sold my used clubs. I'd polish out most of the scratches on my irons with stainless polish bars and a buffing wheel and then re-blast the faces so they looked mostly new also. The clubs would look like I'd used them once or twice before selling them. Now I've given that up but still want them to look as good as possible...so, headcovers.

Now, to me, that's just a beat to hell club. I couldn't own that. It would bother me that it looks bad. It looks "well used"
and I know a lot of golfers don't care how they look as long as they work... I'm not one of them. That would be hiding
in my basement and eventually I'd throw it away. No disrespect intended to you but it would bother me.

Same here. Only clubs I'll allow in the bag with marks are wedges. And I have to be the one that did the marks.

How long have you been married….🙄. She does it to takeaway the only pleasure I have left.

We were at a thing some of the members had at one of the houses last fall. One of the women she knows said , “ oh you should come out and play, we play with each other sometimes or with our husbands…”. I’m standing there and I catch her husband out of the corner of my eye. He’s giving me the side eye, I’m giving him the side eye. I grab him and one of the other guys after and said,” hey, reel in your fuckin women there…”
