Lose the satin on top and take the paint to the face.
Most importantly (to me) SQUARE faced, nothing closed, even slightly. Otherwise, I'm a Shark...and I'm out!!😄

ValueGolf I'm a non-skying hacker myself. Just can never get over the 'iron' look when at address with those metal strips showing. Had some of the Acers and put a strip of tape over it. Better. Couldn't hit them though(sole design).

I haven't watched any reviewers in a bit - after a while it all becomes repetitive. When I did watch them I'd watch in this order: Crossfield, The Average Golfer, Mr. Short Game, and Rick Shiels. They rarely do anything but major OEMs though.

I think it would be fun to make a fantasy set review. Me hitting a tee shot on a 575 yard par 5. Cut away to a ball sitting next to a sprinkler marked 200 yards. Me pulling an 8 iron and hitting it. Cut away to a ball 10 feet short of the pin and show me fixing the ball mark 20 feet past the pin. Me putting the ball, cut to a ball rolling into the cup.

ValueGolf Massively. When 99% of it is paid off. It's no coincidence that Eleven Golf for example has 9 thousand YouTube guys that have "reviewed" them. Same with Lazarus.

Unfortunately it's a new world that way.

I bought a club from Eleven Golf. They told me they can hardly keep up with the orders.
And is it really unfortunate for someone in your position? What is the cost of sending 10 or 20 sets out to YouTube reviewers, versus the cost of reaching several hundred thousand targeted consumers in the old days?

Or you can get your marketing advice from the curmudgeons. 🙂

DonM The problem is sending them out to hacks who blame equipment for their own lack of talent. You don’t need bad reviews. I would just pick a couple guys like Shiels, Crossfield, Robinson, Michael Newton who do good honest reviews and don’t crap on equipment even if they don’t care for it. I’d talk to them and then proceed.

Forget forums…. Like someone else said, a few of the other ones I check out are just a bunch of suck ups for free stuff and don’t give an honest review.

They’re all Pros. I doubt any of them would review an all hybrid set. Possibly. Plus he said he ideally wants a hacker (15 handicap).

The more popular YouTube golfers are like the ones you mentioned. Pros or single digit golfers. Not aware of many 15 capper YouTubers who have a lot of viewers.

Par4QC last I heard the avg. handicap is closer to 14-18.

I’ve seen many of his videos. He says he’s a ~ 7. Looks about right to me.

Pretty sure it was a joke. Distinction between "The Average Golfer" and the average golfer.

Sneakylong They’re all Pros. I doubt any of them would review an all hybrid set.

Rick Shiels will try a lot of different clubs. He even goes to Costco and buys boxed sets. He's bought clubs from Amazon also, off-brands.
Here again, he plays everything very well though. But he can also tell if 'just anyone' will get anything from the club(s).

iirc, he did review some hybrid irons. I'll have to check his vids.

If I had swings like these reviewers, I'd be famous. Again. 😉

Thanks for the pics Aaron! They look very hittable to me. I've had success with the Power Play Select 5000, Integra iDrive hybrids and Acer XDS all the way down to the SW/LW. I'd probably like these. Aesthetically, I already like them. Honestly, I felt like I was cheating when playing them. If my swing is on or near the correct path, I can hit 7i on down with a player's cavity. I really like the hybrid irons in the 4,5,6 heads, so if you sold these individually, I'd bite.
