I hear ya but right now in the used market, the paradym is about half price of the new smoke ai, so much better value. I usually buy the previous gen when a new model comes out. I am currently playing a mavrik sz but the paradym seems like a worthy upgrade. Also playing a Titleist tsi4 too but likely will sell if i grab a paradym.

shokosugi The Paradym ls nice. Most of the yearly updates are virtually the same as last year's model, but they made some significant changes from the Paradym to the AI Smoke. The face of the club has been completely redesigned.

I hear you about the cost, though. Holy crap, it ain't cheap.

I'm gonna roll with my Rogue ST Max LS until the AI Smoke goes on super sale next Black Friday.

Who am I kidding, it'll probably be in 2 black Fridays...

rsvman2 He must not go on the internet very often, so I will post this for him from an email I just received.....

    "Sweeter From Every Spot
Make your bag smarter with our Ai Smart Face and the new Paradym Ai Smoke Family."

Can't imagine anyone not wanting a smarter bag!! 😲

      shokosugi And there ya go!!👍

I was fondling all the newest toys last Sat.. The Smoke is clearly much nicer in appearance than the Paradym, if that means much, and it does to me. I did not try the last 2 years of the Cally drivers merely due to their looks...mehhh. Maybe later this summer I'll 'Smoke' something.😉

        Par4QC

Yeah, the smoke looks better to me from the pics, but have yet to see either in person. I actually really liked the look of the previous gen Rogue max LS drivers with the matte black finish and the small footprint of the triple diamond but unfortunately, the triple diamond was a little too unforgiving for me and the regular Max LS was too high spinning, which brought be back to the mavrik sub zero - good thing i didn't sell that one as it seems like a good balance between low spin and forgiveness (at least for me)

Par4QC I get the idea that you are joking, but what they did to make this driver is actually pretty cool.

They gathered driver ball-striking data from 250K people who were being fitted at Trackman sites across the country. They fed all the data into the computer and then it generated 50K prototypes.

Those 50K prototypes were than put through the paces by AI, utilizing the swing data they got from the fittings, which narrowed it down to one. They then made the driver.

Off the high toe it goes about 15-17 yards longer than the Paradym. Off the high heel, about 10-12.

When I tested it, one shot that I hit way off the heel ended up on the left side of the fairway and only about 15 yards shy of my best strikes. Balls struck out toward the toe were also in play, and almost as long as a center strike.

It is actually a pretty amazing driver.

rsvman2 I get the idea that you are joking,

Wasn't joking about the email, quoted word-word.
No doubt about all the testing for they came up with and what they built, and that is fine. And it is also fine they put all that in print for us to read. And I do choose Callaway drivers over all others (but do love Cobra).

But, many years ago, and still have a couple, the 455DB did the same thing for me....actually better that this new stuff...... I never lost any yardage from off center hits, esp. off the toe!! And they stayed straight.
I mentioned elsewhere about Kelly's driver.....never hit center, all hits in FW, +20 yds from any driver I hit the past few years.......etc.

Keep in mind what you were using😉. Your new driver is going to be much better than that one.

But from all my years of experimenting with drivers when new, 1 is not better than the other new ones! jmo, and I have not hit any new ones, 2024, yet.(til this weekend coming up😲)

Typhoon I put cheater spacers in mine, only used a 1 1/2 depth. For any LD fella I built for, I went full depth.

It took me a couple years before I figured out why I hated my Bang BOM driver(s), before I had SMT. The shafts always sucked, it seemed. Then started doing this with the 455's and never did go back and revisit the BOM.

Maybe not too late....I'm breathing. 😄

Typhoon I have a notion of putting mine back in the bag, can’t seem to find the magic in the new drivers, the stupid 455 just keeps working.

              5 days later
shokosugi changed the title to 9 deg Krank Formula X extreme driver - head only or assembled- Pics added! .

shokosugi Well I just did buy a smart watch that I use for golf, so maybe I need a matching Ai Smart face in my driver!

My driver is a Smart Ass. It mocks my 200 yard drives.

I had a vs339 x in mine inserted all the way and loved it! Any I built for others I only inserted 1.5”

Love the Krank! Just so everyone knows, the Krank shaft adapter is the same as the Callaway so if you have Cally shafts they will work in the Krank

                  Typhoon
Good to know!! Thanks so much!!
Got a minty Krank F11 XX driver ( the hot one) in 10.5* with the Krank Fujikura regular flex shaft, headcover, wrench and weights. When I'm able to play again probably gonna sell it (along with a like new Logical One Neuro 10.5* driver with Leveler regular flex shaft headcover and weights, and a nice Tour Swing 10.5* Infringer driver with an Accra regular flex shaft).
My driver keepers will be 2 Taylormade M6s, 1 Taylormade Sim Max 2 D and my recently acquired Ping G400 Max with multiple shafts.
