Cutter66 I carry 2 drivers sometimes
I always do, just because it's fun for me to hit something different. And the next round may be 2 different drivers. (yeah, got a few).
I carry 7-GW, SW. Many rounds, like today, I may only hit GW, SW, and maybe a couple of the irons only once or twice each. I carry 3 hybrids, none higher than 25. I use them all for a variety of shots and really never max any of them out. I always laugh when reading where someone hit their 22* hybrid over 200 yards. What would they think when they see me hit mine about 130?? It's all I need from it, of course, and it's easier to hit than the appropriate iron.
And, I can hit my 15* 3 wood really well, most times, off the fw😲. It's my 'go to' club. And, again, I'll use it for varying distances, like when the 5 wood is not working.
I love playing in wind, into, across, behind(which NEVER seems to help for me). I don't hit high enough any more for it to be affected, plus I get the added bonus of rollout, even on soft fws, like today. But, I will take an extra club just to be sure, sometimes.
I kind of 'make it up' as I go around a lot of times. Never ask me how far I can hit any club, except driver. I do not know the answer. Sometimes, not even the answer for the driver distance!! And, seriously, I do not care. End result is my game. Although I do enjoy the good shots along the way, but they are never the 'perfect' shots others may have.
